Q: How is the sturdiness and build quality? Especially with the fancy hinge?
A: the fancy hinge is what makes this product usable imho. we specifically rejected the yoga 2 because of the cheap looking hinge. it cost a little more but for the way we are constantly going between pad and notebook the strong hinge is necessary.
A: I had Yoga 2 Pro with i7-4500U before this. Performance is comparable. I tested several apps side by side when I first got this and almost no difference in response. Testers report that Core M throttles down under load when it heats up, but my use has not encountered any slowdowns.
A: Yes it does, you can turn it on and off really quickly with the function key and the space bar. Extremely helpful.
A: Yes, it does have an HDMI port.
Q: Does this laptop work well with digital drawing?
A: Due to the fact that this laptop doesn't have an active digitizer(essentially doesn't work with an active stylus) I wouldn't recommend using this for digital drawing. For you I'd recommend a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 which for the same price gives you an i5, keyboard, and Active Pen/Stylus that works great with almost all drawing applications.
A: Yes it is and it can be turned on or off by pressing the "Fn" key and "Space" key (same time), pretty cool feature!
Q: WHAT MATERIAL IS THIS LAPTOP MADE OF...SPECIFICALLY THE BLACK INTERIOR
A: According to Lenovo the body's exterior is a hybrid of Steel, and Aluminum. Also the inside is texturized rubber.
Q: How long should battery life be?
A: Mine lasts for 4-5 hrs with setting the battery option to power saving mode. Yes, but it still less than what is advertised by Lenovo.
