I had Yoga 2 Pro with i7-4500U before this. Performance is comparable. I tested several apps side by side when I first got this and almost no difference in response. Testers report that Core M throttles down under load when it heats up, but my use has not encountered any slowdowns.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi friend, In terms of over all performance , yes Core M is much better than i5 and i7 because its smaller, thinner, and extremely power efficient ( MORE battery life). However, if you still have the yoga, I personally wouldn't recommend upgrading because you would not notice the difference that much.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The M series cannot match an i5 in performance. The benefit with an M series cpu is that they do not require a fan, so the manufacturer of the laptop can slim down the design.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is not as good as the 4th gen Intel Processors. It is really clocked low and then throttled up for heavier use. Feels about 50% of i5 processor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a Yoga Pro 2 i5 which easily out performs the M chip which I am returning today. My phone works better than this "ultrabook" lol
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My reviews did a side by side comparison of the most current i5 U series and the M Core. You can answer your own questions fro that! The computer is in the stores now!
