great school/travel laptop

The ONLY issue I have is the same with most Lenovo units. The right Shift key is one space farther to the right. If you're a touch typer, like me, you'll find yourself messing up all the time and having to correct. I'm getting used to it, but it still is a pain in the #$%!. Other than that, it's a fantastic unit. I bought two of them, actually, I like them so much.

You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP. We appreciate your loyalty to the Yoga 710-14 and the Lenovo Brand.
Lenovo Yoga laptop

My one issue with it was that Edge would not launch, and was the only browser I had available. So I needed to have help from the Geek Squad before i could actually use it. The Geek Squad was great, and uninstalled, and reinstalled Edge, remotely, and then it worked fine. I would recommend this laptop, but would suggest you also make sure you have Geek Squad coverage with it.

Great laptop, small, light, and easy to setup

It's small and light weight while still having a nice sized keyboard. Easy to start up and use. Fast with the latest gen i5 processor and best of all it does not come all junked up with the unneeded programs that other companies load their computers with. In my view that is a big selling point because the only programs I want on my PC are the ones I load. All the extra stuff is just a way for the other computer companies to make more mone and hook you into their products.

I was forced into purchasing a new laptop when I found a virus on my existing HP laptop that I couldn't remove. I don't have a huge need for a lot from my laptop so after looking at the unit in the store I decided to make the purchase. It's decent but I wish it had more speed. It's definitely the best computer I've ever had but I'm afraid it'll be outdated like the last one in another year.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 710-14. This system should be a fast system with its Core I-5 processor and 8GB of RAM and a 256GB Solid State Hard Drive. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.
