I do not wish to find out what kind of horrible things will happen to me should I use this for work so I'm just going to return it posthaste.

Posted .Thank you for giving the Lenovo Yoga 710-14. It sounds as though the original set up of Windows might have had a problem. If you would like to give the system "one more try", This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the earphone port on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. We hope this "restart from the beginning" works for you.

I have not used the machine, but my daughter is loving it. More than she needed for some gaming and school homework/research. It is light and compact enough for a little kid. And so far no issues with HW or SW.

Great screen and battery

Mobile, fast, long battery, backlit keyboard, great screen response, angles, control of brightness. Haven't tested speakers. The multi-position hinge is useful in more ways I'd expected, tablet, desk, side-table, lap, over my knees, etc. So much better than the 17" Toshiba I got just 10 mo. ago.

I'm accustomed to the IBM machines that last forever. When my T410 broke down, I wanted to get something that's best bang for my buck and future proof. Hence, I read reviews online and chose this laptop. It's everything the reviews online describes: overall good package for the money. I'm sure this will last me 5+ years.
