It was great until a black line appeared in corner of screen. My son checked on Google and found that this has happened to others in the first 30 days of using the laptop. We are not sure it can be fixed ,he's 3 hours from home I may have to buy another laptop until I can get it fixed.

The fans keep kicking in due to the poor design of the heat sinks inside. Get the newer version, not this one.

This is a high performance system with its Quad-Core/Eight-Thread Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor, 16GB of DDR4-2133MHz RAM, a 3840 x 2160 (UHD) resolution screen and a 512GB solid state hard drive. It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal.

Failure of LCD after a month

I'm supposed to send it out to a service center is there a repair for this problem? Or will they just replace the laptop? Does anyone have any info on repairs done or replacing the laptop? I really need the laptop and can't afford to have to send it back if they just send me another faulty unit.. I almost want my money back because of the flickering screen and now this.. Before I bought my 720 4k I had a Dell for 7 years no problem, I just hope I didn't make a mistake by going with a different brand..

Posted .With regard to the black line mention with your device, there may be video updates for your specific system. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Posted .Check to be sure any programs you install are compatible with Windows 10 operating system. Also some programs are not compatible with the 4K resolution, you may need to reduce the screen resolution to view these programs properly.
Black Line on the Screen

From what I have read on the forums, this seems like a common problem. Did not expect such a manufacturing quality issue from Lenovo.
