Combine portable entertainment and productivity with this 15.6-inch Lenovo Yoga laptop. Its Intel Core i7 and 16GB of RAM smoothly handle high-bandwidth activity, such as 4K UHD media streaming and working with Windows 10 office programs. This Lenovo Yoga laptop has 512GB SSD storage, and its 360-degree hinge lets you switch easily between notebook and tablet modes. The wide-angle touch-screen display of this Lenovo Yoga laptop has ultra-thin bezels to let you see more of your videos.
A: Have I encountered it? Yes. Is there a fix for this? You can temporarily fix it by turning the unit upside-down overnight, with the top of the screen facing down. Lenovo support has promised a permanent fix soon but it will require sending it in for repairs. How common is this problem? Nearly all of the 4K 15.6 models sold at Best Buy have the issue. My local store's floor model has it too.
A: It does not. Nor does it have a Micro-SD card reader. Our only option is to waste a precious USB slot by using an external card reader... I think Lenovo should have just incorporated it, the thing seems spacious enough. Don't follow Apple's mantra, guys :(
Q: What stylus models are compatible with this computer? Thank you!
A: This accepts Wacom AES pens, specifically Lenovo Active Pen, but Dell, HP and other Active Pens which are also AES should work, too. Not 100% sure since I haven't tried myself. Wacom's Bamboo Smart Pen for 2-in-1 devices is quite popular, too. Beware, it doesn't accept Wacom EMR or N-Trig (MS Surface)!
A: The Wacom Bamboo Stylus Fineline is for iOS devices. For the Yoga 720 you'll need a Wacom AES stylus, e.g. Lenovo Active Pen (1st gen starts at around $30, 2nd gen only ships with the Miix 720 at the moment, don't know when it'll be out officially). It has 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity. The Wacom Bamboo Smart for 2-in-1 Devices, as well as some Dell and HP Active Pens are also based on AES technology and thus should work, too, but you really can't go wrong just getting the Lenovo Active Pen.
A: I think you got a lemon. I have never once had trouble with the space bar.
A: Battery life with normal usage will get you about 5-6 hours. Reducing the resolution will not make any difference to the battery life. Yes fan is always running but its not that loud. Once the fan for the Nvidia card starts running then it a little bit louder.
A: I read extensively about the problem the other evening. Apparently, Lenovo still has not fixed the problem. https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Yoga-720-Display-Issue/td-p/3711026 There are 62 pages of posts from owners (or potential owners) of the laptop who are requesting support. In brief: - User "Andy_Lenovo," a forum admin, has assured forum users that Lenovo acknowledges an issue exists, yet has not provides much reassurance that Lenovo is fix the issue. - The issue's root cause is due to the diffuser sheet sliding down from the top of the monitor. The problem can become worse over time and even owners who originally thought that repairs (at either Best Buy or by some other kind of repair technician) are again experiencing the same issue. - The issue manifests as users being able to see the diffuser sheet's opaque border to block the backlight, creating a tilted black line. The black line appears at an angle, representing the amount the sheet has rotated down from the corner. I purchased this Lenovo Yoga 720 this past Black Friday as an open box item, saving myself over $300 off the retail price. It didn't notice the diffuser sheet issue at first but am now observing it since last Sun., Dec-10. It's not bad on my monitor -- the black line doesn't obscure on what I'm working. But it is disappointing that Lenovo cannot commit to fixing the issue, given the price of the laptop and the number of complaints.
A: Yes, I use Logitec USB wireless mouse (M705) and keyboard
