Average performance; not what I was expecting.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this laptop for my wife to replace her old Lenovo. Setup was straight forward but the performance was nothing more than average. I have a Dell with the same specs and that machine is far superior to the Lenovo. This Leveno model also has a history of flickering screen. After 3 weeks the unit was returned to Best Buy.

Posted .The Lenovo Yoga 730-13, model number 81CT0008US, ships with the powerful Quad-Core/Eight-Thread Intel Core i5-8250U processor, supported by 8GB DDR4-2400MHz and a 256GB solid state hard drive. If the performance you are experiencing is slower than expected, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. For 2018, Lenovo retained its place for a second year as the best laptop vendor:

Computer Crashes
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this computer at the end of Sept 2018 to support the work I do associated with my masters degree. During my class last night, the screen went totally black. It's a 'live' distance learning class and attendance is required. There are 'no' make up sessions. So you can see how stressed I was. The computer is still under warranty but when I called Best Buy they said I had to work directly with the manufacturer because I didn't purchase the Best Buy plan. The manufacturer said it will take weeks for them to resolve as I need to mail them the computer (after they mail me the box), and then they will assess the computer and let me know if they will fix it or replace it. As you can imagine, weeks will go buy and I have to attend my classes, but I don't have a computer to support the attendance. I find this unacceptable. Would never purchase a Lenovo again!

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga 730-13. From the description of the issue you are having, restoring the device to original factory settings may fix the issue. once you restore the computer back to original factory settings, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. To restore this computer back to original factory settings, this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the headphone jack on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. For 2018, Lenovo retained its place for a second year as the best laptop vendor:

Lenovo 730 Review | issue with screen flickering
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked this laptop, lenovo has built a gorgeous and functioning 2 in 1. Unfortunately, after a month, my Lenovo 730 has been flickering intermittently. I do plenty of zoom demos, and I simply can't use this laptop if it continues to flicker. It's been sent in for repair. I'll update review when I get it back.

Lightweight but very fragile
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is very light and very fast. But it has severe hinge issues. While closing the flap the other day, I heard a crack sound and I noticed that my screen broke. Touchscreen stopped working. Lenovo is not ready to cover this issue under the warranty

Poorly built
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to re purchase this item as warranty was not honored, and lab top belonged to work. The glass cracked around the hinge while trying to put it in tablet mode. Hinge jammed. Best buy nor manufacture would honor warranty.
