Default Gateway Not Available — WIFI Issues

A quick internet search will reveal to you there is a known issue with the installed driver set. Lenovo or Best Buy should be fixing everyone one every time. It should not be up to the consumer to solve this issue. Very frustrating and challenging to deal with. It was completely unusable in the home — thankfully discovered this issue before the first day of school. These days setttings and configuration changes on computers way too quickly. At least a written tutorial on how to fix should be handed out to every consumer. If I have not successfully figured it out — it’s going back.

We are sorry to hear that you had issues with WiFi connectivity with your Yoga 730-13. There is a new driver update for the latest version of Windows 10. As you activate Windows 10 for the first time during the initial setup, this new driver will be installed. You can check to be sure that you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer and that all of the support BIOS files and drivers are also up to date by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software installed on the computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. After just one month of use the screen started flickering off and on. We took the unit back to Best Buy but we were two days beyond the thirty day replacement time. The man at the desk told us the problem was known by everyone but the people selling the units. We now have a computer that has to be returned for repair. We will be without a key part four lives for who knows how long. The wire goes through the hinge for the two parts that connect. It's not good. I'm upset with the manufacturer and with Best Buy for selling a product they know is defective.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the touchpad on your Lenovo Yoga 730-13. Two troubleshooting tips you might try: First, be sure the HotKey in the F6 position on your keyboard has not been inadvertently tapped. This HotKey toggles the touchpad function on/off. Second, With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. Finally, if the issue continues, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

I bought this computer based on the reviews hoping that I wouldn't get one with a flicker issue or bad Wi-Fi but ended up with bad Wi-Fi. When I brought it home it worked for about 30 minutes then it would disconnect from Wi-Fi every few minutes, did all the updates I had seen Lenovo recommend to other people on their reviews but it didn't help. I had to return it not going to deal with warranty repairs, went with a Samsung that was about the same price with the same specs no Wi-Fi problems.

The Lenovo Yoga 730-13 ships with a 4CELL 48WH, Lithium Polymer Battery, with a battery life of up to 10 hours. If you are only getting 45-minutes of battery life, it is possible that there is incompatible software installed on the computer. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

As many reviews state, there is a screen flicker that makes the laptop unusable. Lenovo will insist it can be fixed with software updates, but that isn’t true. Will also take weeks to try and repair. Google led me to a quick video suggesting to take off the back plate with a T5 torx, and give the screen wire a light tug. Imagine that, no more flicker. Worth the purchase, after this quick fix.

Soooooo disappointed. Got this to transition from old laptops, with a tablet feel. Spent 3+ hours trying to set it up, but no joy. We were told that there "might" be an issue with the drivers for the WiFi. Well, there sure is! Went to the official Lenovo site, and asked it to update my drivers, but it wouldn't even stay connected long enough to finish the scan to see what drivers I needed. Gonna get my money back. I don't know what I will end up with, but it won't be a Lenovo.

I had this laptop for a total of 8 months in that time the hinge came loose and made a piece of the plastic next to it fall off. With this every time I try and open the laptop the screen bends forward. I have spoken to Lenovo support and they don't want to be held accountable for an obvious design flaw. Quality: Very flimsy and cheap plastic. Value: Expensive for quality Ease of use: Simple laptop for everyday use if it wasn't such poor built.
