Decent laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: -Great price, purchased it for $650 (now it's even cheaper at $600) -fast start up -internet browsing is fast -quiet (some fan noise at times) -lightweight -folds into a tablet -touchscreen -good touchpad and keyboard Cons: -screen flickering. This is a common occurence if you read among best buy reviews and do a google search. Updated the drivers and such to all the latest versions but the screen still continued to flicker on occasion. Tried updating the bios and that doesn't work. I was able to fix it by adjusting the auto brightness sensor and that fixed it. Not a big deal but it was an extreme inconvenience for days trying to solve it when it should be working fine from the first day. I was extremely close to returning too. -battery life is ok. I can probably get maybe 3 to 4 hours at most with moderate use and decent brightness -not that bright at max level If it wasn't for the cons, i would have given the product 4 or 5 stars.

Love this computer!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this computer a couple of weeks and am loving it. Pros: - Start up and shut down time. It is almost immediate. Gone are the days of waiting 5-10 minutes for the computer to boot up and shut down. Almost immediate. - Size - it is very light weight. That may for some though come at a disadvantage. See comments below on USB Ports. - Setup - set up was a breeze. It was all voice recognition through Cortana. It was a breeze. - Speed - for an i5 8th generation processor it is fast. - Cost - i got mine for a great price at BestBuy. Cons (not really) - Number of USB ports. The computer has one USB 3.0 port and 2 USB-C ports. I purchased an adapter that has multiple USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, at no impact to performance. Since most printing is Wi-Fi any more this has not posed a problem either. - Hard drive - I am still adjusting to the new SSD hard drives and their comparable size to the old drives. Their speed though outweighs some of the disadvantages. With the cost of external drives it is easy to configure to save pictures and media to that drive. 256GB is more than enough space for the non-media type items. Overall, I would rate this an exceptional computer. I have really enjoyed it and continue to learn some of the unique features that it has and am excited for its continued use. Plus, its a Lenovo and that speaks volumes about its quality.

Great laptop overall
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yoga is the greatest budget laptop. Ive looked at various brands including Microsoft brands. I like Yoga 13inch because of the size, flexibility, tablet type usage, light weight. Very portable. Best of all the price. Unbeatable. What Im not too impressed is the battery life. It runs off much faster than macbooks. However, it charges really fast as well. I had one issue with the screen flickering on occasion. Contacted Lenovo, they helped me reser to original Bios. This seem to jave solved the issue. Will see. Wish, I did not have to deal with this. Overall, I like the Yoga. Great in flights as well to watch a movie - you could make it stand like a hut!

One of the best 2 in 1 for $650
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got it on special for $650 a month ago. Price was $750 and another $100 student discount, for more than that I wouldn't buy it. Pros are: SSD is really fast, around 2500 MB/s read, it's NVMe. It's really light, small bezels, USB Type C charging port, that's awesome. Fast Charging. Cons are: Screen is not that bright, not as a good as macbook air. Speakers are mediocre, not good sound, my galaxy S8+ is louder. Ram not upgradable. battery is only 4 hours, even just surfing online and videos. Besides all the cons, for $650 its still really good, for 16GB 2in1 you are gonna have to spend more than $1000. Don't buy it at regular price is not worth it.

Great Ultra Portable and a Bargain Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new laptop, and really was interested in an ultra portable. I don’t use my computer for gaming, mostly for productivity (Office, GSuite, web apps) and YouTube. I didn’t need a 4K screen. And I certainly didn’t want to spend over $1,000 for a laptop. I considered a Chromebook, but there are some apps I use that don’t run on Chromebook, so I decided to stick with a Windows 10 device. I found this item on sale at Best Buy, with an even better deal on an open box model. I read lots of reviews. I saw some possible issues with battery life that some people experienced. I also read that a few people had issues with a yellow tint to the screen that made them send the laptop to Lenovo for repair or take it into Geek Squad. But for the price, I was willing to take a risk. For my needs, this laptop is incredibly fast. The open box item seemed brand new to me. Setup was simple. Battery life, I’m averaging about 8+ hours using Chrome, the new Windows Edge (even better battery savings using this vs Chrome), Slack, etc. I did see the yellow tint on the screen. Especially on web pages that have a white background. It drove me crazy. And I thought, I’m going to have to send this in for repair. Luckily, I have a good friend who owns her own computer repair company. We talked about the yellow screen issue, and she read some reviews on it. She told me, before I take it back or send it to Lenovo, to try the Windows 10 Color Calibration that’s built into Windows. That usually is used when you’re attaching an external monitor. I launched Color Calibration and walked through the steps. I played with the settings quite a bit to really dial in what I wanted. The magic really happened when I changed the colors from warm to cooler (a slider on that part of Calibration does that). Jackpot! No more yellow screen! I also noticed that the text wasn’t as crisp on the screen as I wanted. Well, the last step in Color Calibration is text sharpness. It’s an optional step. Don’t skip this! I went through those settings, and now I have an amazingly fast, light, portable, crisp laptop. I’m very happy with my purchase, especially since I got it at under $500. I would rate this laptop as 5 stars if the color settings were dialed in correctly at the factory. And Lenovo’s website really doesn’t give you the info to fix this. Other then that, this would be a 5 star laptop.

Not very reliable.
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this 2in1 laptop as an alternative to buying an iPad and another laptop and I regret that decision. It worked for 4 months before touch screen stopped working and the laptop became useless for taking notes with the stylus. I did not handle the device roughly, always kept it in a soft cover after using it for taking notes. BestBuy who did a marvelous job handling the repair. When giving my laptop for repair, I saw another gentleman with the same issue. Also these laptops are prone to screen flicker issues. If you do get this laptop, you need to get the extended warranty. My problem is that I had no idea and it was not written anywhere that the extended warranty becomes unavailable 35 days before the end of the base warranty. The two stars are for my experience with shopping in BestBuy. No stars for Lenovo making unreliable devices and abandoning their phones. I will stay clear of any Lenovo devices in the future.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga 730-13. Restoring this computer back to original factory settings may fix the issue. Since you can no longer boot the computer, this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the headphone jack on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

It’s good but could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this laptop but it’s sooo fragile. I’ve had it in a case since I got it and it has lived on my desk or my backpack when I’m going to school and it still has some dents on it somehow. Also, some of the aesthetic pieces came off which really bugged me considering how much I paid for it. The battery life isn’t super great but I didn’t know just how bad it was until I got a MacBook. The camera quality I’d also not the best (I should know since I spend a year on Zoom). The speakers aren’t very loud. It also had a habit of disconnecting from my wifi. But it does have some really good things. It hardly ever freezes, I like the display and that it’s touch screen. It’s small enough to make it easy to carry around if you need to take it to work or school. But in all honesty, I got a MacBook Air recently and I’m never looking back.

I feel like I could have made a better purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am an Apple person; however, my software needed for school was only compatible with Windows. I asked several people what the best PC was as I haven’t owned one in years (just MacBook) and several people suggested the Lenovo. I trusted they’d judgement... I had this laptop for right at 30 days when it started occasionally “cutting out”, and then it got worse. The screen would flash and I couldn’t do anything. I was unable to complete my school work, and it was VERY frustrating! I took it to Best Buy, and they were super helpful... they updated some driver that was apparently supposed to be updated before ever being packaged for sale (annoying). If that doesn’t fix the problem then they did say I could bring it back... it still has its occasional glitch and has been an all around headache. I don’t know if I’m the 1 in one million, but either way, this was an expensive purchase for it to not work properly.

Fast laptop but had some screen issues
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is high quality, very fast and lightweight. There is a workaround, but you have to take some pieces apart. Other than that this is a high quality and reliable laptop!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine is great and pretty much unbeatable if you buy it at the right time with the right price. I got it during a $100 off sale in combination with student deal, so it was $650 only. At that price there is nothing that matches it. Latest I5 processor, NVMe SSD, fingerprint sensor, 1080p screen, usb-c with thunderbolt 3, regular usb, the list goes on. It gets decent battery life and charges fast. The design is beautiful with thin bezels. The only thing I wish for is HDMI port, but I can live without it. I might not buy it at full retail, but definitely for 650 yes.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't bought computer in a while, and do not know much about computer, but honestly it works great for me. Price wasn't over priced for its performance. Turn it in to tablet is quite a surprising and nice, at same time hold keyboard in the backside feel quite awkward as well. Turning and turn on and off the computer seems much faster than my phone and it was surprising. It takes about 8 second to turn on and ready to go and takes about 3 sec to turn it off is quite nice. Runs fast smooth and fast. Only thing I wish is I can use little bit of loudness in the speaker, but overall experience is very satisfying. I would definately recommend this product to other people.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga 730-13. Be sure there is no incompatible software installed on the computer. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If there is no incompatible software installed, secondly, be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer. Then update all of the BIOS files and drivers. Worst buy!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wish I could even give a zero stars. I don't know whether to blame best buy or Lenovo. I first got an Asus 2 in 1 ,14 inch from best buy which just shut off and could not be switched on and this happened intermittently. I had to return it within a week of purchase. I got this one because most of my friends had the 15.1 version and I opted for 13.3 because I always prefer a portable laptop. And that was the beginning of an end. The screen flickers so bad, some of my colleagues get upset just by staring at it. It could even trigger seizures in a predisposed person! And now..I have a completely blank screen.... Nothing shows and it's been less than 2 months since I got this ..supposedly brand new laptop from best buy. Terribly disappointed!

Good, but battery could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going into my freshman year of college and this computer is the first laptop that I have purchased. I had a basic checklist and did a little research and came upon this one. It is the perfect size, not too big or small, and is a nice weight. It was also a bonus that is was a 2 in 1 (which I don't use that much) but being able to touch the screen is nice sometimes. There are a few things that are not the greatest. The Windows 10 is all new to me so I had to do many google searches on windows features and one specific to the Lenovo yoga. Overall its fast and fits my needs but the one part where I am not impressed is the battery. I guess I don't have anything to compare to but it seems to drop fast considering all I have been doing on it so far is messing around with settings and watching youtube. I don't know if this is good or bad, but it also charges fast so???? overall great size with some nice features but the battery definitely could be better.

Does everything that I need in a tiny package
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really been enjoying this laptop. I was going to go with an iPad cause I needed computing in a smaller form factor. However due to alot of the limitations that comes with Apple products, I opted for a 2 in 1. The only thing that I've seemed to notice is an issue with this machine is the WiFi was a little unstable when I first purchased it. Although, I'm sure the issue has been corrected with an update, because I no longer have connection issues. Pros: Lightweight, battery gets about 7 hours, fast charging, can be opened up for servicing and cleaning. Cons: Ram is soldered to the board

great performance for the cost
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needing the portability of a tablet, but the performance of a laptop, I came across this sweet little machine. It lacks in a couple of ways if you stack it against a few of it's competitors, however, for size, weight, and it's overall capabilities I'm pretty impressed. I was a bit concerned about the seeming vulnerability of the shell, but I quickly remedied that with a clam-shell case. (Note: this does limit the tablet function of the unit) The Intel 8 processor is a nice step up from a simple AMD and the battery life is pretty amazing. (I'm getting about 8 solid hours on a single charge with heavy use) When I was shopping for a new machine I had a wish list that was near impossible to meet: Decent processor, ssd, touch screen 14" or less, light weight, and if the world was a perfect place, a back-lit keyboard. All for $650 or less. This machine was slightly more than that price point, but not a LOT more. Pretty amazing by all accounts. Really my only true concern was the shell being so flimsy, but I'll give up the metal casing for everything else I got.

Poor outcome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop started off quite well for me. Performed as expected, decent battery life and speed, no problems with the touchscreen or anything unusual. However, only 4 months into the purchase, the screen started flickering and often simply blanking out. Ofcourse BestBuy wouldn’t accept a return, so I sent it to Lenovo. Has been more than a month now and Lenovo keep delaying the repair because “parts aren’t available”. Poor service from Lenovo. A BestBuy representative told me that this was the third time in the last month that a customer had a problem with the Yoga 730. So I would recommend not to buy this, atleast not from BestBuy. And Lenovo, for their poor support, lost a customer forever.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with screen flicker with your Lenovo Yoga 730-13. The issues you describe may be caused by a recent Windows 10 update that requires both a BIOS and video drivers update, separately. This is easily accomplished by using Lenovo Utility software installed on the device. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

Great Experience so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is such an amazing laptop. I was shopping for a laptop for college and was shooting for the surface pro, but it was discontinued, so I began looking, did my research and decided on this one! I have always loved the durability and despite the thinness and fragile/premium looking design, it works great! As a college student, specs were important to look at, and with the given details, its perfect for college. School: I've been using it to take notes, watch Netflix in my free-time, and I edit videos and host a website. Performance: The SSD is definitely a plus, as it greatly helps speed it up. The 8th gen intel processor is also a really nice upgrade, helping the battery life a little more than the older lenovo yogas Comfort: Being well known for their keyboards, I was not dissapointed. As it is a lot smaller you sacrifice some key travel but its still got a punchy key press feel which I love, not like the tiny clicks of the macbooks. Also, the heat/cooling on this is a LOT nicer than other laptops Ive had that gets a little warm under some stress but it doesn't cook your legs Durability: Like I said, built pretty well, I like the simple silver look, (my preference) Take care of if and it should last you a really long time Recommendations: Get a stylus. Its not required and while some staff may try to push for accessories, this can be important for notetaking and has been really useful for me Get a protective case, while it is durable, its always a good idea to get a case. I have a 13 inch macbook case and it fits great. If you can, try on any cases on the display model to make sure it fits.
