I purchased the 730 for another computer given the increased need for virtual meetings. For the cost, it not only has been able to support the windows pro upgrade but also keep up with the constant zooming. Great value option

Amazing 2-in-1 !

The solid state storage provides a snappy OS experience which allows for fast installs, quick loading times, etc. It you’re on the fence, don’t be, Lenovo makes an amazing laptop and few models can compete with the yoga series.

Good but overheats easily

That said though to make best use of any of this you will need to invest in a laptop cooling mat or something similar. Doing anything beyond browsing the web or writing in word causes this unit to generate way too much heat. The hardware is good but the poor ventilation and lack of powerful fans causes the pc to run dangerously hot.

Posted .The Yoga 730-13 is a high performance system with its Quad-Core/Eight-Thread Intel Core i5-8250U processor, supported by 8GB of DDR4-2400MHz RAM and a 256GB solid state hard drive. It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device, so long as the cooling vents on the bottom of the device are kept clear - Keep the device on a smooth, flat surface when in use. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal. The maximum operating temperature of the Core i5-8250U processor is 100-degrees Celsius (212-degrees Fahrenheit). If you feel the device is operating at a higher temperature than this, we recommend you have the Best Buy Geek Squad examine the computer to make sure it is operating properly.

Great new laptop

I also had to take the plunge from Win 7 to 10. This has been great, no bubbles, no troubles. My only nitpick is that it only has 1 USB (conventional) port and no HDMI ports - so I had to buy an adapter (USB C - HDMI) to project to a second monitor.

There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free.

Great computer for high school student

Handles confounding secure NETs

I looked for a basic, powerful motherboard with a robust design devoid of too many bells and whistles. I'll tell you what I really think in 3 years.

I've researched online and it's likely something to do with the BIOS configuration. Startup is quick but you see a flash of white, verticle lines across the entire screen during the boot up process. For $600 + I expect much better.
