I like the computer size and weight wise, not much I could say about the Windows 10. I don't link the bouncy touch screen and I hate thefingerprint reader, it definitely doesn't not work, I registered all of my fingers but 9 out of 10 times I end up having to unlock the computer with the password.

With regard to learning your way around Windows 10, you may want to try YouTube.com (just type that address in your browser address window). There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free. I am pleased with the device. While I haven’t used the drawing capability it is fast. I would like not to have had to buy the port to have the outputs I am used to but it works well. I would like to be able to designate an output for multiple screens as screen 1 & screen 2. It uses usb as screen 1 & the 15 pin as screen 2. Other than that I am very satisfied.

I am so happy with this laptop. It’s light, but powerful. It took me a while to figure out how to use the touchpad properly. I found a video that was very helpful. (Just search YouTube.) I recently discovered you can touch the screen like an iPad. I love having that option. I also like being able to use my fingerprint to unlock the screen. I don’t mind the smaller screen at all — and I do print layout work. It’s powerful enough to run Photoshop, InDesign, and other Adobe software. I highly recommend the Lenovo Yoga. The same specs on an MacBook Air would cost more than double the price. I saved a lot by buying a refurbished model with a BestBuy credit card.

The fact that this is a 2 in 1 could be a cause for concern.. hinged could wear, or if dropped when in tablet mode. However this is a light and powerful device and it's ideal for students. As with all devices like this... you must protect the screen and be gentle when transforming to tablet. It is fast and flexible and easy to transport.

    Sweet Little PC

This is a fast little PC, with very fast boot time (about 3 seconds after BIOS splash screen), thanks to the NVMe SSD drive. The touchpad uses Microsoft drivers and has full multi-touch gesture support. The 8th-gen i5 CPU has plenty of performance, with 4 CPU cores. The keyboard has nice spacing and is backlit, and the 1080p IPS display seems above average in this price range, though it could be brighter for outdoor situations. Battery life seems maybe a little short of what was specified, but I haven't really tried to optimize for that. Charge time is quick anyway thanks to the 65W charger included. The ONLY negatives I've encountered/considered are: 1. I wish there was an expansion slot to add additional RAM. 8G is plenty for most things, but it would have been nice to have the option to add more, if needed later. The included RAM is soldered in, so what you get is what you get. 2. I wish the SSD drive was at least 500G. I'll probably replace it eventually, but figured that going in. I could have put it off longer with 500G. 3. It would have been nice to have an SD card reader included, but at this small size I guess they're not common. All things considered, I still really like the laptop. I mainly left off 1 star over the lack of RAM expansion.

Thin , quiet, and pretty descent battery life at 75% brightness. Build quality is pretty good, overall a great laptop in this form factor size for those who don’t want to shell out 1k+ on a higher end dell, hp, or thinkpad. Touch screen is responsive, better keyboard than most. Only negative is screen could have more nits for outdoor use (not as bright as iPad )

So far, the Lenovo Yoga 730 has been a pleasant surprise. Coming from a non-touchscreen laptop, I'm surprised at how much I use the touchscreen on it, even when not in tablet mode. The screen is also gorgeous, but I do wish it was a bit brighter. I tend to have it turned up to at least 75 percent. The 2-in-1 ability is also welcome, not just for tablet mode, but presentation mode with the keyboard used as a stand to bring the screen closer for games and movies. Some reviews have mentioned shallow key travel on the keyboard, but having typed on a number of different keyboard styles, I got used to it very quickly and don't have any issue hitting the wrong keys. And I'm usually not a fan of laptop trackpads, preferring instead to use a bluetooth mouse. While I do use an external mouse, I like the smooth feel of the trackpad and use it as well when I haven't on other laptops because the trackpad was too grippy. My biggest complaint? Battery life. It definitely could be better. I haven't timed it, but it seems like I get maybe 4 hours of use before it needs charged again. All in all, this is a good choice for a mid-range laptop, especially if you can get it on sale like I did and plan to use it where you have access to a plug to top off the battery when needed.

This machine replaces an Asus C302 Chromebook which began having backlight issues after returning from an Asus repair center. I bought this machine when it was on sale, $150 off. I felt at that price to be a reasonable one. Pros: - 8th gen i5 (quad core with 8 threads) - decent storage at 256GB, but I replaced with a 512GB NVMe - runs Linux well in both desktop and tablet mode - screen is plenty bright enough for indoor - pretty solid construction Cons: - The battery seems to be cheap. - Out of the box the battery's charged value was less than the what the original capacity spec indicated. Did not expect that from a new system. - Battery life is okay, but nowhere near that of my XPS 13 or Asus C302. - The corners of the machine are sharp and you'll definitely feel them when you pick up the machine. Not a big negative, just wasn't expecting it. Overall it's a fairly nice machine. It would have been 5 stars, if it wasn't for the battery issues.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 730-13 for your daughter. This model ships with a 4CELL 48WH, Lithium Polymer Battery, with a battery life of up to 10 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. To maximize battery life, first adjust your battery saver settings. Here is a link to instruction for doing this in Windows 10:  https://www.digitalcitizen.life/how-use-configure-battery-saver-windows-10. Next, to maximize battery life, be sure there are no unwanted programs running in the background, draining the battery. Here is a link to some tips for finding out what is draining your battery:

You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life. Finally, if the battery life does not improve, a battery reset may help. If you need further assistance, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Here is the link: https://windowsreport.com/laptop-battery-not-charging-windows-10/. Regarding a blank screen, this sounds like an issue with the initial activation of Windows 10. Resetting the computer back to original factory settings may correct the issue. Since you can not boo the computer properly to restore it, this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the headphone jack on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

My bosses' year-old D377 2-in-1 developed a screen flicker just as her presentation at a major conference ended. She liked that laptop a lot and wanted another like it. But this was the second in as many years. I wanted her to try my go-to brand. She really likes this laptop. It is half the weight of her previous two devices. The touch-pad login works for her. It is fast to boot and load PowerPoint. The battery seems to have only about 4 hours of use-- but that's long enough for a flight and a presentation. What's more, I picked an open box with a mark-down so it was just over $500 with tax.

The Lenovo Yoga 730-13 ships with a 4CELL 48WH, Lithium Polymer Battery, with a battery life of up to 10 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are only getting 4 hours of battery live, first, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster than normal rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. Second, to maximize battery life, first adjust your battery saver settings.
