Since it had been 20 days since purchase date, Best Buy could not replace (lesson learned on my part- open before 15 day return period expires). It had to be returned to Lenova for repair. Time will tell if this is a bigger issue with hinges.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saved for several months to buy this laptop for grad school; I was extremely happy when I first bought it: lightweight, perfect screen size, quick. However, it eventually had a display issue. The screen gets wavy black lines across it, and it spreads until the entire screen is black making the computer completely unusable. If you do an online search for this issue, you’ll see that it’s quite common, unfortunately. I’m still working with Lenovo trying to fix the issue, but it’s yet to be corrected. This laptop went from being the favorite out of the various ones I’ve owned over the years to being the worst due to completely being unable to use it. Very frustrating.

Endless keyboard problems

Took about 6 months for certain keys to stop working "T", "Y", "Backspace" "Shift". Sent it in for repair and received it back fairly quickly. Repair held for only 2 weeks and had to send it back in again. Computer was sent back and problem resurfaced a week later. Lenovo finally sent a technician to our house to repair the keyboard. That repair held until last week when the same problem occurred. Of course by this point the warranty has run out and I can no longer contact Lenovo. $650 for partial 1 year use? I thought their quality was better. Would not recommend.
