The only fault I would say is the network adapter is not the greatest. Wifi connection on any network seems to drop randomly once in a while. Noticed this on 2 of these laptops, same model.

Posted .Regarding your WiFi connectivity, for the best WiFi performance, be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer. Then update all of the BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software installed on the computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". Great Laptop for My College Freshman

I purchased one a year ago for my high school son who is now a senior. My older son was tired to carrying my older MacBook Pro which is very heavy but functional. The is the perfect laptop for a HS or college student. Lightweight with flip touch screen that works like a tablet but is not detachable. This was important because he has a tendency to be a little heavy handed with electronics. So far so good. He uses Google Docs and our family Microsoft plan and his backpack is a lot lighter.

A Best Buy staff member helped us (I forgot his name), he narrow our search and was easier to choose. My daughter loves to draw, but it was mostly to use for college, this one (Lenovo 2 in one with a pen that we bought separate), is doing great. After downloading some apps she is being able to study, draw, watch movies, navigate internet etc... And what is even better we didn’t have to pay a lot for it, price was reasonable.

Lightweight and a work horse!

This was NOT an isolated problem as many on internet had same issue. Microsoft does nothing to support their products and I had to dump their laptop!! So I went with Lenovo and could not be happier! And the price was very reasonable at around $700. But mostly it stands up to the high usage as I use in my legal business as well as personal. I have had no issues and very happy with purchase!!

We did have the wi-fi connectivity issue but updating the driver seems to have fixed that. I am not sure the battery life is as good as advertised but that could be related to the usage during all the setup.

Great for Student/Office Use

The SSD makes most programs and functions run extremely fast (off to fully booted up in 10 seconds or less), it's had no issue finding or maintaining a wifi signal, and the Windows 10 OS is easy to understand and utilize. Laptop is very slim and lightweight, making it easy to transport. Keyboard is tactile in a satisfying way and the track pad is responsive and highly accurate. Touch screen functionality is a helpful feature as well, whether it's for laptop or tablet mode. Only minor gripes are that the fully folded tablet mode is awkward to hold or handle, the keyboard keys left scratch like marks on the screen over time, and its somewhat difficult to open from its closed position since there is no clasp or indent on the bottom portion.

Great laptop for work & school

The touchscreen is an added bonus - I find that I don't even use my mouse any more! I do wish that it had 1 or 2 more USB ports but that was a quick fix with a USB hub. Overall happy with the purchase

Super lightweight and portable it easily fits into a portfolio or handbag. Ever been on that flight working on a project and WHAM - the seat in front of you comes back and all of the sudden you don't have the that bit of room you had to work on your computer any more? With the versatility of this computer - all you have to do is fold it over and continue your work on tablet mode! I would AND HAVE bought this computer over and over again, it is the best!

My kids started using while distance learning because of everything that's going on. She dropped and broke the screen. Repair is more than the cost of the computer. It is very light, what I am still admiring, and the size perfectly fits my smaller backpack, so I can carry it with myself whenever I need. It is really very fast and I love the keyboard, which makes very smooth writting feeling.And the battery last for about 10 hours without charging. I am still enjoying to work with it. I would say it's the best laptop I have bought. When I bought the laptop it was on sale so that was a bonus.

Screen Flickering 2 weeks after purchase

The computer was purchased on 8/3 and on 8/22 she called to say the screen is flickering. She shut it down and powered it back up and it was fine. She had the same issue over the next few days. Finally, on 8/29......Friday before Labor Day weekend....it was getting to the point where it was hit or miss if it would even work. Of course the school's Tech Department was closed for the holiday. She took it to them on the 4th and they were unable to fix it and by this time the screen was just black and the computer was not usable. Today is the 11th and she is still without a computer as they are waiting for the part to fix it....they will not replace it. AND, her HUGE business project she started working on is on the computer so now she has to start over again. It's a huge stress for kids starting college to begin with all the adjustments and now to add this to the mix it has been an awful start to the school year for her. All of her books are online. All of her assignments are online. It has made it very difficult for her to get a routine in school because of this laptop fiasco. We spent a lot of money and had hoped to get 4 years out of this computer and it is not starting off so well.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that your daughter is having issues with her Yoga 730-13. This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the headphone jack on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

Powerful laptop but screen freezes for videos

However, whenever I watch videos, the screen tends to freeze. I do not know why this is, and I haven't had time to call in for tech support yet. But I do not think this is supposed to happen.

Initially I had a problem the the fingerprint senser not working, but a windows update seemed to fix it. Only lasting issue is wifi cuts out when battery is low, but that can be fixed by tweaking some settings in device manager. Love this laptop.
