Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 730-15. You do not need to use the touchscreen if you do not use the device in tablet mode. You can, in fact, turn off the touchscreen feature if you choose to. Here is a link to instructions for doing that: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028019/windows-enable-and-disable-your-touchscreen-in-windows-10. This ultra portable 2 in 1 device does not have a built in CD/DVD drive, but you can use an external CD/DVD drive by just plugging in to a USB port on the computer.
