Customers are delighted by the Yoga 7i 2-in-1 laptop's fast performance, lightweight design, and long battery life. They appreciate the touch screen's sensitivity and the overall price of the laptop. However, some customers have concerns about the limited number of USB ports, the durability of the hinge, and the warranty coverage.

3 days ago you would have had a good rating but then my laptop suddenly doesn’t turn on and I get this request for an evaluation the next day. I will be taking it in tomorrow and we will see. May just be a bad power cord but a 5 week old bad power cord is not a good thing either. I was loving this little laptop though. Hope it is not a big problem to get it to work.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i-14. If the issue is that your computer will no longer take a charge when plugged in, first be sure you are using the proper charging port on the computer. There are two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports on the left side of the computer, but only one port (the one with both the Thunderbolt icon as well as an electrical plug icon) can be used to charge the computer. Be sure you are using this port to charge the computer. Plug your computer in, let it charge for approximately 15-minutes, now with the computer still plugged in, press the power button and the computer should boot normally. If the issue continues, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

The Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i-14 model number 82BH0006US, ships with a 720p (HD) webcam with manual Privacy Shutter. First, be sure the Privacy Shutter is completely open before trying to use the webcam or the webcam will not operate. There is a small slider, directly above the webcam lens. Move the tab to the right to open the Privacy Shutter. There is a red dot over the webcam lens that will disappear when the Privacy Shutter is fully open. This will indicate that the webcam is really to use. You can close the Privacy Shutter when you are done with the webcam for your security, by sliding the tab to the left to close the Privacy Shutter. The Red Dot will appear over the webcam lens when the Privacy Shutter is closed. If the Privacy Shutter is open and the webcam still does not work, now check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. I bought this laptop Dec. 12, 2020. i have to admit I really love it. but unfortunately I've had problems with the microphone and the headphones from the start. The first time I was able to call Best Buy and the tech helped solve the problem. This should have been a red flag for me. My latest return date was Jan. 12, 2021, now it doesn't work, as of Jan. 15, 2021 I can't talk at my zoom meetings because the microphone is bad. Sounds like I'm under water. Best buy won't refund it and Lenovo"s customer service is horrible oh and they say it has to go to best buy. Don't buy. this is the second one I've bought in 3 months. the first one was bad from the beginning.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i 14, model number 82BH0006US. First, be sure the issue is truly the motherboard and not software-based. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If there is no incompatible software installed but the issues persist, check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. I really like everything about this laptop. I bought it 14 days ago, so tomorrow is my last date to return it. On two separate occasions, the screen started to flicker until I shut down and started again. Besides this, on one occasion, the screen went completely white, and nothing would work until I did a hard restart. On the second occasion, the screen went black, hard restart again. I really like this laptop, but I'm considering returning it because it's been barely two weeks and I'm seeing these problems, definitely don't want to be stuck with it and having these issues become permanent! Get your stuff together, Lenovo. A new laptop should not have these issues, period.

I purchased this computer from Best Buy on July 31 2021. After two weeks of installing software and customizing I discovered the wi-fi adaptor has a more limited range that my previous Lenovo Computer. I use the computer for travel especially on cruise ships and the limited range of the wi-fi is unsuitable. Lenovo confirmed that the model does have a more limited wi-fi range. I spoke with Best Buy Customer service and they assured me I could return the computer even though it was past the 15 days return policy and I had thrown away the original box and receipt. The Best Buy Manager told me it cold not be returned since it was not in pristine condition with the original box and receipt. I am very disappointed with Lenovo reducing the wi-fi range and Best Buy not following through on their promise

It is the port with the electric plug icon next to it. I spent a good amount of time selecting the right computer for myself. I choose this computer because of the reviews. I ordered online and picked up at store no problem. At the store they said setup was easy and you could always call total tech. I opened the computer to the screen blinking off and on, I thought once it was charged up it would go away, it didn't, I was on the phone with total tech and they said they couldn't fix this kind of problem and take it back to the store but they said there were no appts available, I told them I don't buy a computer and take it back the very next day expecting problems to be fixed on the computer. I returned it and they can send it back to whatever country they got from. I would not recommend this purchase.

We are sorry to hear that you had issues with your Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i 14. The blinking of the screen and the restarting of the computer at initial start up and activation of Windows, indicates the Operating System was in the process of downloading and installing updates to the computer. This is a normal process at initial startup of Windows. Let the Operating System download and install all updates, do not shutdown the computer during this process.
