A: The Yoga 7i is the next generation of the Yoga c740. In comparison, it has the newest tiger lake processor, better battery life and thunderbolt 4 compatibility. I just bought the c740 as a gift and I'm changing it out for the 7i.

If you get a USB C dock or a USB C to HDMI adapter you will be able to connect an external legacy monitor to the laptop. New monitors that have a USB C output can connect directly to the laptop via a male USB C to male USB C cable
