The design was nice and it was relatively fast. I didn't care for the closely colored keyboard, but that's just me. I will be returning it. The WiFi card is horribly slow. There are several complaints on the forums. I tried updating the driver, even installing another driver meant for a Thinkpad. Nothing helped. I have 1 gb fiber at home. I could be 10ft away from the router and it wouldn't get over 120mbs download. My phone pulls over 300. The only solution that seemed to work according to the web involved removing some screws from the bottom of the case... Umm no. Not doing that on a $1k laptop that's a few days old

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issue with WiFi connectivity with your Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 9i-14, model number 82BG000CUS. This model ships with the latest, Intel 6G, Wide-Range/High Speed 2x2 802.11AX frequency WiFi, which is also backward compatible to older, b/g/n/ac frequency WiFi. If your WiFi connectivity is not as expected, first check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the Computer. Then update all the BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

Battery charges fast and the USB-C multi-adapter makes plugging in USB peripherals simple. Mica is a great color and doesn't seem to show smudges and fingerprints. Have been a ThinkPad, Lenovo fan for a while as the machines last and last.

It operates quickly and I can run multiple programs at once with no issues. Programs open and load quick. Picture and sound quality are awesome. It's easy to pack around and the touch screen has worked with no issues. Overall I'm very happy with it.

Sound quality is amazing thanks to a rotating sound bar, the under highlighted touch screen pen is amazing when taking notes. Additionally though it’s not a gaming laptop it easily can play any game till 2014 on a good setting anything else is pushing the limit but really that’s just a bonus. Amazing laptop!!

I am already a Lenovo user and I wanted to upgrade my Yoga from 2015 and this was the best way to go. Super fast start up and the agility it has is phenomenal. I love how light weight it is and sleek. The processor doesn't disappoint with all the things I do for my job and for my own company.

Honestly, I haven't used the fuctions of different position availability that often, but it's been nice to have that available for the few times it was a better format. I would def purchase similar model when this one 'dies'.....as they all eventually do.

For Workstation replacement using the Yoga 9i-14, you may want to consider adding a universal Thunderbolt 3.0/4.0 docking station. This will give you the added connectivity you need by adding ports but still give you one-cable connection to the docking station for those times when you need to grab your Yoga 9i-14 and go. Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the keyboard of your Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 9i-14. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software could be the cause of your keyboard issues. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If there is no incompatible software installed but the issues persist, check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. Super fast, much longer battery life than my old computer (about 16-18 hours it seems), and it charges fast. The Atmos sound is incredible. I don't think I'll ever use the garaged pen, but it's a nice bonus. The fingerprint sign-in hardly ever works, but I can live with that.

Here's a tip for making your fingerprint reader work every time: Try lightly sliding your finger over the fingerprint reader. No need to press hard on the reader, in fact pressing hard on the fingerprint reader will distort your fingerprint and cause read errors.
A fantastic 2-in-1 laptop

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a 2-in-1 convertible that would perform well as a "desktop PC" when docked (i.e., external monitor, keyboard, mouse) and be portable/light when travelling, and I found what I was looking for. The 14" screen is bright (400 nits), colorful, and sharp at 1080 resolution. I tried the older version of this laptop (c940 4K screen) and found the 4K screen to be excessive and a battery killer. I love the sound bar that rotates with your screen; finally, a laptop that I don't need to connect to a bluetooth speaker for good sound! Bloatware is fairly minimal, and I actually find the Lenovo utility (aka "Lenovo Vantage") to be quite handy. With it, I can easily toggle between eco (battery-saving), balanced, and high-performance. More importantly, when I keep my laptop docked, I can switch to battery conservation mode, which means the laptop will only keep charged to 60% so the battery doesn't wear out by staying charged at 100%. My main uses for the laptop is web-browsing (I tend to have 1-2 dozen windows open at a time), photo-processing (Lightroom, Photoshop), and Office (Word, Excel, PPT), and the speeds are great. For Lightroom, it does help to keep the laptop charged and set to extreme performance. The fan does kick on more often but it's not loud or "whiny" to me. If I had to nitpick, I wish there were extra ports on the right side (all ports are located on the left), an HDMI port (I had to buy a USB-C to HDMI adapter), and an SD card reader (for downloading photos from my dSLR). But, those are not deal breakers for me. Finally, it's great having a built-in pen that's always charged and ready to go. I wish it popped out from the side (easier access) and was closer to a full-sized pen. I may have to purchase a separate pen that's more comfortable to hold for extended drawing sessions. But all in all, a fantastic laptop and I'm extremely happy with my purchase.
