Poor build quality. Other features were good.

Top of screen was not properly installed into the case, resulting in rippled screen. I've had other Lenovo laptops and 2-in-1's and this was made and went through quality control on a Friday evening apparently. Speakers were excellent!

Disappointed and Annoyed

Tried every trick I could find in the forums and nothing worked. Took it in to GEEK squad who also couldn't get it started. So PFFFTTTT for an entire year's data I had just spent a week entered in prep for income taxes as the solid state drive edition in this one is encrypted and they can't access it to save my data. The computer is on the way to Lenovo for repair but won't be available for 4-6 weeks.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga 9i-15. Since you can no longer boot the computer, this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the bottom right side of the device, right near the top right corner of the cooling vent on the bottom of the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

Bad unit, bad service

We were assured it would be warrantied as new. Stopped powering up, so our son returned it to the Boulder store, only to be told if he wanted an exchange he'd need to go back to Colorado Springs, but they could upgrade him to a new model for " 1/2 price", plus tax, plus $100 to transfer data from the defective open-box to the new one. With little choice, he got a new model -- which within a week also would not power up. Returned. The only thing worse than the laptop was BestBuy's lack of customer service.

Buyer beware of this laptop!!

In Jan 2022, the laptop wouldn’t turn on as the motherboard malfunctioned/fried so Bestbuy sent it in to repair the problem. 6 months later on Aug 2022, the laptop is being repaired once again for the same problem. Not sure why BestBuy wouldn’t junk the laptop and refund me the money to purchase a different more reliable laptop but they say it has to break 3 times before a refund is given. Frustrating all around.
