I purchased this C740 for my daughter for school since her high school has switched to e learning due to the pandemic. This laptop build quality is top notch. Its fast and the 15" screen is great. This computer is a great buy and must have for any student.

So instead of sitting at our "home" desktop, we purchased this PC so she could have more flexibility in where she works from inside the house, as we are both navigating move room to room while on conference calls. Wife uses it for work the only issue is the touch screen and using a stylus. It seems to be a bit finicky when it comes to which stylus it likes. Other than this it is a pretty solid machine. Will undo last 2-3 years like most other PCs.

With the stay at home orders, we could not get it fixed in time for finals. This was a good quick decision to get her past finals; however, she has decided that this will be her laptop when we get the other fixed.

Definitely an upgrade

When the battery gets low, typing tends to slow down a little but it's not constant. I have used this laptop for video calls, checking multiple emails and light card games and have been pleased with the purchase.

Posted .The Lenovo Yoga C740-15 should not experience lag in typing input when the computer is on battery power. Check your Power Management settings. I am not a computer person so getting under the hood is not anything I can speak to. That said, she loves it and has not had any issues. So much so I had some other family members go out and but one for themselves. We’ve both been happy with the purchase. What’s best is there is no bloatware installed from the factory.

I like the flexibility of being able to use as a tablet for surfing the internet and as a laptop to work in Word or Excel. I did also get the stylus which has been pretty handy when reviewing some documents with my son. Overall, I would highly recommend.

I love the finger print ID login and the c charging port , very nice !! the laptop was purchased as open box ...I received a firmware update after registering and on the Lenovo page it said my warranty was expired...so I called B.B. and asked if I had a warranty they told me to call Lenovo ....so I did , and they said warranty is expired .... B.B. could only offer B.B. or geek squad warranty which would cost extra as much as buying a new laptop so I returned it because of no warranty .. bought a asus zen book 15" $649 with ryzen7 and nvidia card ....I would highly recommend

This is exceptionally annoying if you're urgently working on something. Also no SD card slot and limited ports. Overall an average laptop with basic functions.

Posted .The Lenovo Yoga C740-15 will boot from off to the Windows 10 Desktop in less than 15-seconnds. If you are getting slower boot times, Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop.
