USB port connection issue

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.bought last year, not much used by myself, kids mostly use it, started using it recently and faced issue with USB connections overall its good, but facing issue with USB ports, gives error as drive not recognized when connect flash drive, so far corrupted 2 flash drives, bought new of usb 2.0 and 3.0 but still does not connect. tried connecting mobile but does read. initially shows connected but when tried to copy files from mobile to laptop it failed. Internet keep on disconnecting, and need to update drivers (though shows updated).

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga C740-14. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

I would recommend as a work laptop not anything heavy with graphics or gaming. I would also recommend using an external HD for storage or the cloud, you want to use the HD and memory for operating system and key programs.

Sturdy build and runs great

Very frustrating for this to happen on a new purchase. Not refurbished but brand spanking new. Took computer to store and was given the option for Geek Squad to set me up with an appointment or return it and wait for another one to ship out. Of course I returned it, also was told it would be over a week to get it here, however I could pay for a quicker shipment options.So let me get this straight I have to pay for a quicker shipping options for something that is not my own fault, after I already paid to get it here and it didn’t work. Unbelievable

Works pretty smoothly , only issue is with the storage memory. The program and some built in apps take quite a lot of memory. If you end up downloading adobe cloud and have those programs you would need to upgrade The memory ASAP.
