If you don’t know what you’re doing when it comes time to install - make sure you’ve got somebody who does. I knew how to work on doors, locks, and framing but the whole time I was installing it I was thinking to myself that this isn’t for the faint of heart. But that’s 100% ok. The Auto Unlock feature is pretty nifty and still catches me not thinking when I hear it unlock. I guess that’s kinda the biggest surprise about the whole thing was how loud the little electric motor can be. Not anything I would complain about it just was unexpected.

Great product! Ready to install if you're handy with a wood chisel to adjust the cover/strike plates recess and/or latch hole. Everything was a bit thicker than what my door could receive, but it was easy enough to fix. The lock setup/pairing was a breeze and so far it functions flawlessly. Will definitely use again in the future.

I'm so happy with this lock. It uses all the same exterior hardware and goes inside the door so you don't have unsightly battery packs bulging on the door. I've previously owned August pro lock and it just died. This is so much better. After using it for about a month I have not had any issues with unlocking and don't need to carry that key!

I got this for an internal door and it works good for that only. I have the full locks on my exterior doors and they work great!

Quick setup. Easy install. Only problem is it isn't super powerful. It must be 100% aligned or it will not work.

I absolutely love this smart lock. I've had a couple (Kevo, Schlage) and this is the easiest to install, most reliable smart lock I've ever had. I've never had it be "unresponsive" in Home.app. It never gets jammed or stuck. Due to iOS limitations for privacy (as of 8/2021) it doesn't unlock my home when I arrive home. This can be automated through Hoops or Homebridge. With this added - I am able to roll up to my house and the door is already unlocked. Level Bolt is an integral piece of that puzzle. Best of all it's completely hidden. I get to keep the color and style of the door locks that I selected with zero bulk. Beware - if you have an older home with bored holes that don't meet modern specifications, it could be tricky to get this to work out. The level website has a great tool that will walk you through compatibility.

This is the best designed smart lock. It replaced a previous “bulky” smart lock. Very easy to set up. Works real well. There is one major issue… the range. This is Bluetooth only. The range is not very far. I’m used to being able to control the lock via WiFi. WiFi is included in other locks in this price range. Other than that, the lock is good.

Love it most of the time, but the battery likes to die without notifying us.

I really liked this design because I could implement it in my door without it showing. Unfortunately, my door latch has a star design where each half (indoor and outdoor) latches into the other at a 90 degree angle, resulting in the +. The level doesn't have this type of insert so I will be returning it.

I’ve had many smart locks over the years. I was drawn to level because I have a door handle and bolt style on one door that wouldn’t allow for a typical smart lock install. I have these a try on all my doors in my new home to keep the look consistent. While the idea behind this bolt is great, the tech and execution is poor. Frequent connectivity issues and jams persist on all my doors when other smart locks had none of these problems. I’d avoid this system if you have other choices. I’ve also had 2 locks replaced under warranty due to critical failures. Geek squad took care of the replacement, but even that process is a major pain when it’s a door lock, as they won’t send someone out with a lock—they make you take the lock out and bring it in! Just imagine…a door, with no lock, and a hold in it. Not great. I tried to explain to the phone agent how non-sensical their service is when the issue is related to a smart lock. They send a 3rd party who can only fix installs, but not the lock itself. They ask to uninstall and take the lock (leaving your door unlockable!) or tell you to bring it into a store. Geek squad clearly hasn’t figured out how to properly service a smart lock issue when it’s the lock and not the install. Pretty negative experience in total. Stick to a more reliable smart lock to avoid all the issues!

Love this lock. My wife constantly locks the front door on me when I am working in the front yard and this lock allows me to open the door with a click on my phone instead of having to carry my keys around

I use this with HomeKit and it’s great to be able to know when I leave the house or set my home to Good Night mode that the doors are locked. Only complaint is one of the doors takes a while to get the status before becoming usable, might be a range thing.

So far it works really well. I brought it so I cannot be locked out my house if I forget my keys.

Like the fact that you only replace the "guts" of your lock keeping the exterior hardware. Was pretty easy to install. Did have to drill out on door jamb to 1" depth as previous deadbolt only went ¾". Had some issue connecting to app, contacted support who walked me through and we got fixed. Support was quick, easy and friendly. Even sent follow up few days later to make sure working. This is part of my HomeKit. I get notifications when door is locked or unlocked, can share with family and has worked well. Very happy with purchase after initial install miscues. Things to know: door has to sit flush for lock to work. I had weather stripping and had to adjust a little to allow for smooth operation. May need to do some additional work so just be prepared. But I feel this is still best way to go as I did not have to change or re-key exterior lock hardware.

The lock frequently struggles to respond to unlock/lock requests done on the phone. There are times I've had to use the physical key to unlock it, which negates the purpose. When it works it's lovely.

The Level Bolt is a great smart lock. To me, the best feature of this lock is that it only replaces the internal hardware of your deadbolt. You can still use your same lock with the same key that you have always used, but now you can control your deadbolt from your phone and with your voice if you have an Amazon Echo or Apple Homepod device. Unfortunately, Level locks do not work with the Google Assistant. And if you are like me and you use the Home Assistant platform to control all of your smart devices, Level Locks will work with Home Assistant through bluetooth and the Homekit Controller integration. I would recommend this lock to anybody who wants to add some smarts to their doors.

I am super happy with the bolt which works seamlessly with my existing lock. The experience is smooth and you can use the app to control the lock very well.
