I bought the washer and dryer pair on Black Friday to replace an aging stackable washer and dryer. I was skeptical about a front loader at first since I had heard about problems with doors leaking on front load washers, but the sales lady assured me that was not a problem any more...especially with this model.. So far it has been able to handle the toughest problems with ease...very happy with this purchase.

Based on many good reviews of this washing machine I ordered it from Best Buy along with an LG dryer. Best Buy delivered and set up the 2 machines. I was very happy with their service. Three weeks after delivery the washing machine was leaking a large amount of water. There were a few reviews about the washing machine that warned about a design flaw that could cause a water hose to leak. I am not sure if this is the cause of the leak since it has not yet been repaired. Customer service at LG could not quickly locate a repairman and the repair process is going to be complicated. Best Buy will have to come remove the dryer from the top of the washer before a repair can be done. Then they will need to return to do the reinstall. None of this could be done before we left for 3 months to work out of the U.S. I will write an update once the repair is completed in April.

Been in service for several years. No complaints. Clothes come out clean

When first purchasing washer it made a funny knocking sound. It always smells musty no matter how much I clean or leave the door open. The front is glass so you will hear zippers cling very loudly. It's a very loud washer. I suggest a top loader or one without a glass front.

Love our new washer! But, was told we need to buy "stainless steel" hook-ups. Came home from work,after installation, and the stainless steel hook-ups are still in box on top of washer. So why did we have to purchase them?

I want to cry. I do laundry daily and specifically purchased this washer because we live in a tiny condo, have a 6 month old baby and needed something very quiet. Sadly it seems I made the wrong decision. It seems like a very nice unit, and would probably be just fine in a house, which is why I gave it 3 stars. But I would not recommend this to someone in a small space, or whose laundry room is anywhere near bedrooms...especially if you have a child who is a light sleeper during daytime naps. I'm 30 minutes into a cycle as I type this and it sounds like a train is going by my window.

I read all the reviews when we had to buy a new washer after 25 years of no-problem-no-leaks just fine operation of our Kenmore washer. All the reviews of all kinds of machines focussed on the liiks, the features, the noisiness or lack of same, how clean the clothes were etc. nothing about repairs, etc. ok, I bought the LG. And I was shocked when last night --water all over the floor... So I researched the internet and found out there is a common leak caused by a design flaw -- an conduit hose touches a rubber bellows and over time it rubs a hole in the top of the bellows hose and water leaks out of it through an air vent and onto the floor. Look up LG washer leaks and you'll see for yourself. One guy replaced the hose 3 times in 5 years.

Works well - no problems - it's a bit loud at the start of the program.

Bought this to replace my Maytag Neptune. Wished I had gotten another Maytag. This dryer is quiet and controls are easy. Usually takes 2 cycles to dry. So much for energy efficiency!

I've had this washer for 5 years and it broke. They sent a repair person to fix it and said it would cost $1200.00 to repair. That's more than what I paid for it. I had a Whirlpool before the Samsung and it lasted over 10. Very disappointed in the quality of the product.
