Nice and big washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is beautiful and easy to operate. There is only one downside, it is too deep for short people to get clothes From the bottom of the machines.

Excellent machines for the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price I don't believe you can beat them. They are both so quiet and the clothes seem to come out fresher than our old machines.

Super hE Washing Machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine definitely operates differently than my old Maytag. It takes a little getting use to. The washing settings are different too (e.g. Maytag had a permanent press setting. The LG washer does not have that setting option). The LG washer physically operates a lot different. It is almost like something from Star Trek. Once you have picked your settings, the machine moves the clothing back and forth, makes some unique sounds, spins it a little and then it decides to add water and start washing. The spin cycle is pretty impressive too. It does such a good job spinning that the clothes come out lightly damp. On the down side, the washing cycles are longer than with my old machine. The bottom line is that I can wash nearly twice as many clothes per load and this machine uses less soap, less energy, less water and gets my clothes as clean if not cleaner than my old machine. P.S. Consumer Reports likes it too.

It’s efficient
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the matching washer & dryer. I do like all of the features of this washer but a few things that I have noticed is it can be hard for me to reach the clothes when emptying the washer since I’m on the shorter side (5’3”). You have to be careful when loading the machine. It has to be loaded evenly on all sides or the balance will be off. Sometimes it appears there is still detergent left after the washer is done. However, overall I do like this washer!

Absolutely love this washer!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine is far better than any washer I've had in the past. The control panel is at the front of the machine and easy to reach (I'm 5'1" so that's a plus), and is easy to navigate/control. The lid is clear so you can see progress. This is random, but it makes very pleasant noises as you select the wash and when the cycle completes it plays a little happy tune instead of a loud BEEEEEPPPP, that our old machine use to make. The wash cycle is very quiet. We've had the machine about a month now and the only negative I've come across is that I've had to adjust the clothes during the spin cycle because it went off balance. It has probably done that 3 times in one month, but keep in mind I just moved in and I've pretty much been running the machine day and night to clean all of our linens that we used as padding during our move. I can finally fit a queen size comforter in the wash which I also could not do before with the old machine. Overall, great machine and I'm very happy with the purchase!

Great washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had high efficiency washers before but they do not compare to this washer. The whites are so bright and the washer is quite.

Seeking Balance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this washer for almost six years and it has been a headache for almost six years. The main problem is the UE code indicating that the washer is out of balance. This has happened over and over again for my me and my wife. It's hard to leave the washer unattended for fear that it will get out of balance and stop running. We've also had times when it will stop during the spin cycle for no apparent reason and leave water in the tub. After nearly six years of fighting with this beast, it is going to the local used appliance store. I'll see how much they will give me for the washer and the LG dryer we bought with it (no problems with that, by the way). I'm sure if they don't give me a good $$$ for it, it will make a lovely planter in our back yard.

Great Washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this washer. I love the design with the controls in front, sleek and modern. It is huge!!! You can wash almost anything in here (apparently nothing waterproof according to the big sticker on the top). On the other hand, I can barely reach the clothes on the bottom and I am 5'4". Last night I had to pick my daughter up to reach in when she was helping with laundry; she said it was fun, like I was putting her in the wash. Still, it will be a while before she can do laundry on her own. I believe some of the other reviewers said it gets off balance and mine does occasionally, but it typically corrects itself. Nonetheless, a great washing machine.

Best washer for your buck.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our daughters washer went and she needed a new one. After much research we found this one. After purchasing it my daughter just keeps praising the way it works. It weighs your clothes, adds water to compensate for load. Goes to more rinsing when you put in too much detergent. The spin cycle gets the clothes exceptionally dry and allows for less time in your dryer. After research and listening to the raves of my daughter we went out and bought the same washer for ourselves. Didn't make a mistake.

Affordable high efficiency washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new washer and decided to go with a high efficiency one, but didn't want to spend over $1000 on just the washer itself. I looked at this one and decided to go with it. At first, I wasn't sure how well it would work, but I have had no complaints. It runs quietly and our clothes always smell fresh and clean after being washed. The tub holds so much more clothing than my last washer, I only do about half the loads of laundry I did before! My only complaint is that I am about 5' tall and I struggle to get the last garments out of the bottom of the tub because it is so deep, but that's not really a bad thing! It's just really big and deep, but I can live with that!

LG should recall these
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want this machine, you will have to get used to an UE (uneven)error code. We bought this washer 1.5 years ago and has been nothing but frustrating. The washer has what LG calls a "smart drum" which means that it tries to balance to load when it spins. The reality is that you will use a lot of water, sort all your cloths to "like items", rewash your cloths, stand over the machine to see if it will work, and be left wanting a new washing machine. You can not put jeans in with Tee shirts and don't even bother washing bedding. You will get the UE, uneven code. The machine tries to rebalance the load by filling the tub with water again, so we are using at least double if not triple the water. If that weren't bad enough, you still are left with wet cloths which smell musty and you need to rewash the cloths. I finally called after the is inoperable at this point, and they suggested that I call for a repair. Looking at other reviews, I am not the only one. We are completely frustrated at this point with a new washer.

Plenty of room,clean and quiet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We loved our old washer but now we know that agitators are overrated. This washer has so much capacity. It's so easy to wash bedding. It is easy to select just the right setting for any fabric or customize temps and speeds yourself. The cycles are a bit long but worth the wait for clean clothes and saving money. So far so good!

Great Product!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product so far, I have had it about a month and haven't had any problems! The wash cycles are kind of long, but that would be the only thing that I can say that is even somewhat negative about it. All of my clothes come out clean and you can fit quite a bit in it. Just be sure to load the washer as though there were an agitator in the center, that way it won't come unbalanced.

Laundry is now enjoyable!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a front loader and switched to this top loader. Best choice I ever made. The front loader was nothing but a headache. This machine makes doing laundry a joy. Clothes come out very clean and almost dry. Cuts dryer time in half. I would have given this machine 10 stars.
