Q: How does the lid fold on the LG WT1101CW Washer?
A: The front of the lid tucks under so the washer gets air when not in use. This prevents any must smells.
Q: what is the little blue knob next to where the water comes out?
A: That is for dispensing the fabrics softener. It’s just a little plastic channel that is blocked off most of the time but will open up when the washer thinks it’s time to add the softener. It’s probably a good idea to clean it out every couple months bc fabric softener most likely builds up in there. Good luck
A: All of our washers are for washing laundry only, you should not wash anything else in them. Please do not put anything but laundry inside the laundry unit, it may cause damage - especially not your small children, they could get hurt.
Q: Do I have to select the special "fabric softener" button whenever I add fabric softener?
A: The fabric softener is dispensed in the final rinse. Selecting the "Fabric Softener" button to changes the final rinse type from "jet spray rinse" to "fill tub rinse". Neither is "better" so to speak for the softener itself, it's simply a different option. The jet actually helps water get in into the fabrics better. You may not need to use the button unless you find that "fill tub rinse" is better for you. - I hope this clarifies it ;) Thank you for your question! Have an amazing week.
Q: everytime I wash towels the washer leaks
A: We had the same issue after installation, but figured out that it was how the drain hose was angled. It has to come up from the machine and then across, before going into the drain pipe. I think the machine pushes the water out with such high speed that the hose has to be a certain position in order to slow the water down a bit before going into the drain pipe.
Q: Washer shakes when it spins?
A: A little shaking maybe normal. If the unit is completely level and your load of laundry is even, this shouldn't happen much. Please contact our Geek Squad at 800-GeekSquad if you feel like you want a technician to take a look at your machine.
Q: Can I wash water-resistant/water-proof items in this (like mattress covers)
A: Thank you for your inquiry. The sticker is there for your protection. Because of the high spin rate on the LG - 4.1 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle Ultralarge Capacity High-Efficiency Top-Loading Washer, Model # WT1101CW, when you wash water resistant/ water proof clothing in the washer, those garments create an imbalance that can result in severe shaking and vibrations that could damage your property, your clothes or the washer. You can however, use the lowest spin to wash your clothe to minimize the shaking. This is true of all High-Efficiency washers and on the ones that do not have the warning sticker, they usually recommend using the lowest spin cycle...^IFV
