“Do I have to select the special "fabric softener" button whenever I add fabric softener?”

• The fabric softener is dispensed in the final rinse. Selecting the "Fabric Softener" button to changes the final rinse type from "jet spray rinse" to "fill tub rinse". Neither is "better" so to speak for the softener itself, it's simply a different option. The jet actually helps water get in into the fabrics better. You may not need to use the button unless you find that "fill tub rinse" is better for you. - I hope this clarifies it ;) Thank you for your question! Have an amazing week.

• It is not absolutely necessary, however the fabric softener "cycle" will distribute the fabric softener more evenly during the final rinse cycle
