I have had the same washer for the last 13 years and it was not new then (its about 24 years old). This new one uses much less water, has more options for cycles and has the hugest drum I've ever seen. I can wash king size quilts with no issue. At first it felt like one or two of the cycles were too long, for example the "bright whites" wash was about 1hr and 10 mins, but you can use the " quick wash" and change it to hot water and it takes half the time. Very adaptable machine. The only downside may be if you're shorter you may have issues reaching the bottom of the drum. I'm 5ft 6 inches and I have to lean over on tiptoes to get clothes off the bottom. Best purchase I've made in a long time. Love it

As a single member household I often have a light load to wash. This washer adjusts the water usage for the size of the load which conserves water. I like the detergent and softener compartments that have the water running through them thereby cleaning the receptacles at the same time as dispensing. Ease of use is commendable. Having the option of a second rinse is a godsend since my skin is sensitive to detergents.

This machine has a solid feel. Quiet. Uses less water. Takes a bit of adjusting, though, to the longer time required for a load of wash. Controls aren't entirely intuitive -- the manual is needed at first.

I love my new washing machine. It holds most all my king bedding and I have been able to save money since I don't have my bedding washed at the cleaners

Very easy directions to follow with no guessing at the water level because it does it automatically. Great for Queen size comforters because of the large capacity drum and very quiet when washing.

I have nothing negative to say about the washer at all. The price was excellent and it has been a real value. I just recommend overseeing your install....especially if u have a water softening system. The contracted installers took out the drain for my water softening system and when it reginerated that night, the entire cycle, unbeknownst to us until the next morning, drained all over my laundry room into the kitchen and completely buckled our hardwood floors. This happened a month ago and we are still going between Best Buy, the install company and their insurance company ....each saying its the others responsibility to handle. No doubt there is mold under the floor by now.

At first I was nervous about a washing machine with no agitator. It washes my clothes just fine. I love it.

Can't believe how quiet it is. I set a phone on speaker phone on top of it while it was running and the person on the other end never knew it!

Wife cant get over how much room is inside! washes very well. Install tech used hose that came with unit (gave me s.s. hose. He said they have been having problems with s.s. hose leaking.

We have had our LG for 2 mos. and have been most pleased with its performance. Read the manual before use for best results! Sort wash by similar weight/fabric types to avoid out -of- balance issues. Since a bit of residual water remains in the tub & soap dispenser afterwards, release locking flap at the front of the lid to vent & simply slide out the soap dispenser & dump into the tub. As per manual, run the Tub Clean cycle once a month to keep it fresh. The only drawback is washing water proof articles is not recommended, but that hasn't yet been an issue since the only waterproof article we have is a dog car seat cover. Overall, we are very pleased with the LG.

Great washer for the price. It was rated very well by consumer reports so we went by the reviews and we're very happy! Very large drum for loads. Can fit twice as much compared to my old washer.

I guess we have been using this for a few weeks and it seems like a very good device. The wife likes it and that is all that matters. It has some nice energy features especially on water usage and with domino effect reduces hot water heater use etc. Wish the diagnostics were such that I could see on my phone or the screen instead of having to call the manufacturer. The verdict for long term performance is still out especially with all the electronics and this is the reason for not giving 5 points. Would be very happy if it lasts at least half the time the one it replace - it lasted us 20 years! Had to buy the extra warranty just to be on the safe side.

Would recommend highly. I can even wash my queen size comforter!

Electronic and works great. I love how it looks and it really works beautifully. Very easy to work, just wished someone else worked it for me.

I love using this machine. I holds and cleans the largest of my loads. My son is a chef and his jackets get filthy and they now come out clean.

Love the washer but sometimes it takes too long for even a small load of clothes. I love how quiet it is!

Great machine for a family. Can handle large loads, no problem. Cycle selection can be a little difficult to understand but a great machince overall. Nice modern look with the front controls.

This washer combines a good balance between practical features and those that some might consider excessive glitzy features. Large capacity and quiet operation make it a great washer.

This was a highly rated machine, expensive, but figured why not get the best. So far it's great. Uses little water. Cleans the clothes, and spins dry them at such a high rate they come out "damp" instead of "wet." (Saves on drying time.) It's got a ton of options, don't know if we'll ever need them all. But it's a big tub (without the agitator) so there is a ton of room. (It's deep, too.) We're using it less because we fit so much in for one washing. (Luckily we already have a king size dryer.) We've only had it about a month, but it seems like a fantastic machine. And it has a glass top so you can watch your clothes spin around, if there's nothing good on cable.

This is a very high-tech washing machine. Lots of cycles. Very energy efficient w/ very large stainless steel tub. I washed my king size comforter without any trouble. If you are short, you may have trouble reaching the bottom of the tub to remove the clothes! I'm not used to a washer that doesn't cover the clothes with water and haven't figured out how to add more water to the main wash. It is also a little too big for my space.
