This washer requires constant babysitting for every load. Even 3 minutes from being done, it will say, "Ue," refill up with water, and go for 25 minutes. I understand that Ue and UE mean that it's unbalanced, but it does this with every single load - small, medium, or large. I have to babysit the washer to make sure it finishes each load; otherwise, it would be washing the same load all day. I use the washer a lot, so this is a major inconvenience. Also, the power button frequently doesn't work. Very disappointed with this product.

This is a decent washer, only bad thing is it starts shaking out of control. Wondering if it was supposed to be bolted to the ground

The cycles seem long and it seems to use a large amount of water. I'm Concerned about the control panel being located where I remove my wet clothes.

I had my washer just over two years and has needed service already twice and looks like it does again. States you can wash bulky bedding or larger loads, I certainly can't do that with this washer. Whenever I do even a single comforter it has hard time balancing so I have to keep rearranging a single comforter and respinning. This can then take hours for the load.

The washer that came with the house we moved into 10 years ago finally bit the dust. It was a very "old school" Kenmore and my wife and I hated it. We just figured we'd use it 'til it died. When it did, I did a lot of research online to find our next washer. All the good things I read seemed to take me to this LG high-efficiency top loader. We didn't want a front loader, and we wanted the controls in the front. This LG model fit the bill. The fact that it was on sale at Best Buy was the icing on the cake. The washer was easy to hook up and is the first brand new washer my wife and I have ever owned. I am totally in love it! It's so quiet and does a terrific job of getting our clothes clean. I can't believe how dry the clothes are when they come out of the washer! This makes for shorter drying times! Everything about this washer is well thought out, from the stainless steel drum to the no slam lid to the feature that allows you to air out the washer while the lid's closed. Electonic controls--something new to me on a washer--are easy to use and intuitive. I would recommend this washer very highly to anyone. We also bought the matching dryer, and love that just as much. It's a joy to do laundry now!

The washer machine doesn't complete a full cycle when washing towels or bedding. The machine doesn't spin these item very well and I have to remove item and squeeze the water out and then restart the spin cycle. The error code UE pops up and then the machine will stop running. I should have spent the extra money and went with a front loader unit.

This will be long but very informative.....I bought this Washer on 3/25/14. Like many others, I read the reviews before I went out and bought the Washer. There were a lot of great reviews, but also some very bad ones. I took the chance and was hoping I wasn't going to be one of those people with a bad review due to problems with the product. However I have waited to write this review for several reasons. It has now been almost 2 months since I bought the washer and I am completely satisfied with everything about the product. This washer replaced my old Inglis (whirlpool) that I bought back in 2007. That washer had been through a lot for the 7 years it lasted. My wife and I have 5 children and so we are doing laundry on average 2x a week. However since this washer is so much bigger than our last washer it has cut our washing time at least by half and also our water bill has only gone up by about 1.00 from all the washing we do. I have had this washer on many different functions to see the full effect and because of the numerous different cloths that I wash from cotton to whites from small to have loads from cold to hot water I do it all. I love this washer and am glad I went with the positive reviews. However because it is really big, my wife who is 5'4 sometimes has to use a small step stool to grab everything, but she has no complaints because it literally takes an extra 2 seconds to step up and bend over. My kids love watching the washer go through its cycles and its quiet and well balanced after easy adjusting. For the price I would go grab this washer in a heart beat. My last washer I paid about 389.00 in 2007, a standard washer with average functions, and it lasted for 7 years. This machine which I got on sale for 529.99 is 4x bigger with 4x more functions and has been a dream. I love this machine, but with all machines, they do break down or have malfunctions, I suggest getting a geek squad protection plan of some sort just in case.

I've had this washer for about 6 months an it washes clothes very well and gets tough stains out. The different cycle options come in handy and the spin cycle has never wrinkled the clothes. I use the medium option for the spin cycle. Before this washer, I had the old fashioned agitator washer where the washer would fill all the way up with water. I was a little nervous because I was concerned about the new technology not rinsing or cleaning the clothes because the tub only fills up according to the weight of the clothes (water fills to the level of clothes). It does great!! No complaints. This was the best buy for the money. I would recommend this washer!

    So far so good

I've had this washer for 2 months now and it's been great. It's huge and can fit a queen sized comforter. It is reach to grab all of the clothes out, and I'm 5'4. So if you're shorter than that, you may want to reconsider or just be sure you don't put it up on a pedestal. The spin has been really great and the clothes come out slightly damp, which is less work and time in the dryer or hanging clothes. That is on a low or medium spin. The timer on it is great because our washer/dryer is in the garage so I can just open the door and glance in to see how much time is left. So far I haven't had to deal with an unbalance alert from it. In fact, I usually will just dump all the clothes in, put the soap in the dispenser, turn it on, and go about my business. Overall, seems great. I saw some reviews about after a year they have issues, so I'm hoping that's not the case with us.

I did NOT want to get one of these new fangled washers with less water, but I researched and trusted the reviews and I am soo glad I did! I can't explain how my whites are whiter than they have ever been, or that all of my clothes are much cleaner, brighter, stain free, than before BUT THEY ARE! Maybe its the longer wash cycle, which is great, but I love the end results. It does use less water, just enough to cover the clothes, but all items get wet and clean, even large loads, and they all come out smelling fresh and clean, which is important to me. This machine sprays water onto the clothes, unlike other machines and adds MORE water to the wash cycle a few minutes into the cycle. All clothes get tossed around and soaped up for good cleaning. I use the HEAVY soiled button for heavier loads, such as my big heavy towels, b/c it will swish the water around faster/harder, etc. I LOVE THIS MACHINE! and I was soo skeptical at first. And yes it is quiet. LG did everything right with this model!!

I had a front loader for four years before this washer. To eliminate mold, I always had to leave the door open when not in use. This washer holds more, gets things cleaner and has ventilation built into the lid ensuring mold will not be an issue. It is very quiet also. I have been operating the washer for three weeks with no out of balance issues like some. Even with pretty large loads.

So far its a great washer, large capacity, tons of features, looks nice, controls are located on the front of the machine making it easy for my wife to access controls since shes kinda short. Its also extremely quiet and has its only balance sensing system it goes through before starting the cycle, so it doesnt vibrate your house down. Plays a music tone after its finshed with a cycle which is nice compared to a loud annoying buzz of old machines. So far seems to do a great job at cleaning clothes. Hope to get many years of use out of it. Only worries are with the touch panel buttons vs the old school knobs on older machines that may wear out quicker. One great feature is the cell phone diagnostic that has capabilities to let you know of some issues the washer may experience. Also the dryer that is a like model is just as nice. NO REGRETS!

We are huge fans of Consumer Reports and we use them with almost everything we buy.CR gave this washer a great review, But even when I reviewed comments from other sites about this washer, it got great reviews! I see why. I love it! It senses the amount of water you need, it cleans very well and it's so quiet. I am very pleased with the purchase! I love that I can wash my comforter with no problem!

    TOP rated washing machine, outstanding

Did about 3 weeks worth of research on the best top load washing machines. I looked at high energy efficient rating, water usage, price, reviews from many sources, product testing and going and looking at many washers in the stores and talking with sales associates. This machine received the best ratings by testing from several sources, and of the 200+ reviews I read on several stores web sites I decided to purchase the LG WT1101CW washer. I couldn't be more happy with this machine. Very quiet, very easy to use despite some reviews saying make sure you read the directions well. It's quite simple to use but yes read the "rules" before you use it. Cleaning is amazing when you consider such a smaller amount of water that is used. When you look through the top of the machine while running you'll see for yourself how well it cleans. Major plus is they suggest for best efficiency wash small loads. Nice when you have just a little bit of laundry. Old washers it was a waste unless you washed a full load. HE detergent is more then regular but it's a MUST and needed based on how the machine operates. Note: Last years model is exactly the same minus the control panel and door change.

The washer stops quietly the wash cycle too often during Rinse spins because it cannot balance the load by itself thus the wash is unfinished unexpectedly no matter how I even out the load by rearranging it It is very frustrating I cannot press Start button and forget I must keep an eye always

I've had this washer for a week and have been using it constantly. It works great and does what it is supposed to. No out of balance issues and it's quiet enough. The size is pretty awesome, seems like twice as big as our old agitator top load. We washed comforters in it tonight. I'd like to give 10 stars to BestBuy. They gave me an unbeatable price on this washer. Installation was top notch. We have marble floors in our laundry room and the installers were extremely careful in how they moved the washer in and around. Plus I'm getting a utility rebate for buying a HE washer. Am supposed to get bestbuy reward points for this purchase as well. This washer was rated #1 top load by a leading consumer magazine/website. Don't hesitate, buy this washer.
