Awesome product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the floor model before the store could even put it on the show room floor. This is one of the quietest washers I have ever had. The control panel is on the front of the machine, which make total sense. No reaching over the machine to get it started. The door has an oppenning handle area to vent the tub when not in use and that help keep the funk from growing in the washer. Stainless steal drum, big wide openning and huge capacity. Super smart controls and pre-programed cycles. Only weird thing is this sprayer thing that isn't listed in the manual or online. No complaints here, though. Puts those front loaders to shame.

Very quiet and efficient machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. How we missed this machine the first time is still a wonder to us. We just got this machine as an addition to our existing machine. The machine works as stated - very efficient and quiet. It only the water it needs unlike the older 'analog' machines where the drum just fills up with water with a middle agitator. Don't be alarmed that the water level doesn't seem to submerge the contents on top, They will be thoroughly washed through the cycle. The machine adds water as needed during the wash cycle. The machine is super quiet. The spin cycle is so effective that the clothes are only damp reducing the drying time. Our clothes were thoroughly dry using the light heat and 'less dry' function on our dryer. Other bonuses: the machine looks good, has a glass on top for the curious type, even has an ergonomic handle. Our clothes so far come out clean with no soap residue - the washer uses only high efficiency (he) detergent.

The BEST Machine I ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG machine is a fantastic piece of equipment. My son plays baseball and yes they decided on white pants! Let me tell you this machine had these dirt filled pants looking practically new! The clothes come out so clean and fresh that it is like they are brand new. It is very easy to use.

Great Washer for anyone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having numerous USA made Whirlpool Appliances, I was very reluctant to try an foreign built unit. However, after weeks of searching, reading reviews on the internet and talking to sales associates at Best Buy, Lowes and Home Depot. I decided to try the LG washer from Best Buy. Although I was told by a sales person at Home Depot that every high efficient washer machine would twist your clothes compared to the traditional agitator type system and we just had to deal with it, Our clothes never come out twisted or wrapped up as I have read the Whirlpool high efficiency ones do. We throw in our clothes, select the cycle we want, it goes thru the self balance mode, then spins the clothes outward as it fills the washer with water and soap to start the washing cycle. The one big difference I noticed right off the bat with the high efficiency LG washer, it didn't agitate you with all the noise when changing cycles as my Whirlpool agitator washer did. Maybe that's why they call it an agitator machine. The LG is so quite that the only thing I hear is the water sloshing around in the drum as it's washing. My Whirlpool was so loud it didn't need a song to play to let you know when it was finished, the silence was deafening, after the break tried to stop it after the spinning cycle. it just made a big clunk and shook the house, then silence, you new it was done. I have now had the unit for several weeks, have washed about 10 different loads and I love the way it cleans, they quietness, the choices of cycles and the peace of mind with the 5 year extended warranty that Best Buy sold me for about $180.00. I would highly recommend this unit despite what I think is a high price. It should be about $450.00 or under $900.00 for a combined set of washer/dryer. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a top load unit.

Poor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Machine is way too high. I have to use a step stool to reach my clothes. Made a big mistake buying this machine. I'm very unhappy with this product.

GREAT CAPACITY, WHIRLY-MAGIC CLEANING POWER
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best thing about this washer is the retirement of that big spindle from the center of the machine. this opens up the inside to twice the capacity of laundry. I dont how they do it. "Wave technology" "Shake power" or "Whirly Magic." It doesnt matter. The clothes are clean. And the fact that it uses less energy and less water and I'm sold. It's stylish and quiet. It's really amazing to peek through the top to see the progress. Who needs TV? I'm watching my clothes wash!

It's a nice machine and good price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought both the washer and dryer and have owned them about 3 months. I purchased based on reviews here and the price. I purchased several appliances for my new home and was trying to budget as much as possible. I wanted a good machine without the huge price tag and I think the LG delivers. It runs great, clothes come out clean and is easy to use. I haven't seen anyone mention the bulky bedding cycle which I really like. It fills the machine completely with water so that the sheets get nice and wet and clean. Yes, it's an big use of water for an efficiency machine but I want my sheets clean and I don't think the front loaders do it as well. All the other cycles use less water so you're still saving. I've had one little problem with the power button not working. I've had to unplug the washing machine and plug it back in to get it to work. This has only happened twice and I noticed it seems to be when I empty the machine as soon as the load is over and put in another load right away. It might be coincidental but it doesn't happen when I get to the machine when the cycle is over for a little while. The dryer is great as well, no problems there.

Nice features, takes a long time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this washer about 1 week (the first one that was delivered was faulty and I had to get another). It is nice and quite, it hold a lot of clothes. However, the auto-sensing function is engaged too often, making the wash cycles longer than needed. The washer also does not like large pieces of fabric, such as sheets and blankets. They fit fine, but it always throws the washer out of balance which starts the load-sensing function. This has happened every time I wash a load of sheets or towels or a couple of bath mats. And this is on the heavy or bulky item setting. Also if you are shorter than 5'2" you will have a hard time reaching the bottom of the washer.

So glad we picked it!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband hates technology but loves this washing machine. I love the large load capacity - I no longer have to go to the Laundromat to wash comforters. My favorite part is that I'm doing half as many loads of laundry each week. Living in an apartment complex, the vibration reduction makes a huge difference. I can't even hear when it's running if the laundry room door is shut - even my neighbors have noticed the difference.

Great Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are quite pleased with this washer. It has a good capacity and is relatively quiet. It is also much more efficient than our previous washer and wrings enough water out of the clothes that the dry times are lower tool.

Glad I upgraded to HE!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a 20 yo Kenmore Elite washer that finally gave out so I upgraded to this. It was a scary move since this model is so new. I have to say I'm blown away at how well this machine does my laundry. My clothes smell fresher and are much cleaner. The spin cycle on this practically dries my clothes and my drying time is 30 mins or less for a super capacity load size. The energy savings will negate the cost to upgrade to HE. I just hope I get half the years out of this unit that I did on my Kenmore's.

Just Received & Impressed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have done two loads so far and just threw some heavy cotton clothes in without regard to balance. No issues. Unit was easy to level. Easy to use. Very quiet and no vibrations to speak off. Massive capacity. Durability certainly cannot be judged but design and operation are excellent.

Awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 8 year old stinky front loader had a hard time with kingsized Comforter I use in winter. Had to keep door pushed closed till it locked and it never got cleaned. This new LG accommodates comforter with no problem and completely covers it in water. Cleanest it has been in 5 years since I had it. Tub is huge, washes quickly. Love the quick wash which is fine for cloths or bedding that are not filthy. Very quiet and has an auto clean feature I plan on using monthly. A winner!

Glad Front Load Gone, Goodbye
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not an engineer but I am thoroughly impressed in the dynamics of the machine. As a horizontal tub spinning at 11000 rpm quietly and without dancing on the floor, I am blown away. The tub is deep and can hold a lot or a little. The washing machine measures out the right amount of water to use. Oh yeah, if your machine encounters a problem no need trying to explain it to the technician what it is/isn't doing there's phone diagnostics. (Smart phone of washers)

Good But Not Great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think consumer reports missed the review on how it handles small loads. The machine works great with large heavy loads. My wife and I have had no problems when doing large loads and it washes them great and spins them out very well. The machine is quiet and has a smaller foot print, taking up less space compared to my old GE front loader. We love the features the machine provides. Now comes the only bad thing we have come across with this machine. IT DOES NOT LIKE SMALL LOADS. I loaded the machine with a small load of whites only of socks, under garments and a few t-shirts that needed bleaching and set the machine to Bright Whites. The timer showed 1Hr 15 minutes to complete. It took 2 hours and 23 minutes and never completed the wash. Washer showed code UE and machine stopped. This is the biggest disappointment about this machine. Stick to large heavy loads and the machine works great.

Great Washer @ Great Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In needing a new washer we weren't sure if we wanted another top loader or make the move to a front loader. We are so glad we made the decision to stay with the top loader with our purchase of the washer. Very quiet, easy to use with a large capacity. Couldn't be happier.

Big girl purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I felt like a true adult when I made this purchase. My house for nearly 9 years came with a washer and dryer but we were due a replacement. This by far was the best purchase that I've made in the 9 years living in my house. I no longer have to spend all weekend long washing and drying clothes. I can put multiple towels and/or sheets in at one time without the hassle. With two children that sometime have accidents, this is a major deal for me. Make this purchase. You won't regret it.
