Very quiet. Like the clear top so you can see how the wash is going. Most of the new washers determine water level, which is the "minimum" amount needed. I've learned to use less detergent and do a second rinse to ensure the detergent is rinsed out of the laundry. This is the second LG I've had (one a front load and now a top load) and both leave a pool of water in the detergent dispenser at the end of the wash, which needs to be emptied and wiped down. If you are on the shorter side, you will not be able to reach the bottom of the tub. I tried a step stool, but reaching down hurt my back. I have since bought one of those long pole "grabbers" to get the items on the bottom of the washer. I thought the front controls would be an advantage and they are, but I also keep hitting them when I bend over to take out my wash.

Clean clothes, louder than expected

My only real complaint is that it's a little loud. I live in an apartment and the washer is in our second bathroom. We have to close the door otherwise I can't hear the tv when in the living room. When I read reviews before buying it, people commented on how quiet it was. I don't feel mine is that quiet.

Extra Large capacity

It is very deep and the only problem I have us that I am very short and have trouble reaching in to the bottom to get all of the clothes out.

Both energy efficient and water conserving. Love the cute little tune when cycle is complete. Only cautionary note is that this top loader would be tough for a short person!
