I needed a compact integrated unit to fit in a small closet space in my apartment. The LG washtower fits perfectly, and looks faaaaar better than the 15-year-old top load model I had before. I couldn't find anything else that looked as nice and I didn't want to stack separate units with controls awkwardly near the ceiling. The LG works faster and quieter than my old model and holds much more clothes. I appreciate the energy and water savings but I have not owned it long enough to validate those savings claims. I also have not used the wireless connectivity yet, and I probably won't because I distrust the security of Internet-connected consumer goods nowadays. The steam dryer function is pretty cool though, and I'm looking forward to steam sanitizing my pillows and masks. Overall, definitely recommend so far and I hope it holds up over time given the price. I actually look forward to washing clothes now (and not just because COVID has drastically lowered my expectations of "fun")!

Have had this LG Washer-Drier tower with steam and built-in intelligence for about a month. It replaces our previous 11 y/o side-by-side LG washer/drier combo. The capacity of both washer and drier is the same as the previous machines,but the laundry room feels far more open and functional. The controls are at a convenient height, and there is less back strain doing multiple loads. Both washer and drier are very quiet and clean the laundry well. Haven't tried the steam feature yet.

The design and looks of the laundry center are great. The operation manual is very detailed and very confusing. I have still not been able to connect this unit to my WIFI network. The primary reason for my purchasing/spending this amount of money for a SMART system was to assist me with my disabilities.

We've been using our WashTower (electric) for over eight months now. There's just the two of us retirees using it. At first we didn't know what to make of this machine, as it was different from any other machine we've had. It starts and stops a lot during its cycles, which apparently is normal. It is fairly quiet, uses surprisingly little water, and seems to get our clothes clean. One thing I dislike about the machine is not being able to just directly dial in the settings I want. There are several presets available, so if you don't want to think about anything just select one of those and walk away. But if you want something different, you have to load a clunky app onto your phone. You open the app, select from among a bunch of different choices, and send it to the washer via wifi. For example, I do tie-dye and need a spin-only cycle. I was a little annoyed to learn that I could not choose that option directly on the machine, but have to use the phone app. And I have to do it every time I want that cycle. The dryer works pretty well. It has several presets, and the machine's default is to leave the clothes just a little damp. You have to set the dryness level higher if you want them totally dry. You can also do custom dryer settings, but you can't just punch in the amount of time you want. A default time appears, then you can select Less Time or More Time in 5-minute increments. I find that rather clunky. So the machine isn't perfect, but overall we are satisfied with it.

Last year I had looked at buying this unit as Best Buy had an open box at a discount. I second guessed myself and the unit was gone same day. This time when my washer finally gave out I went back to Best Buy to find another unit on sale with only a minor blemish so I jumped on it and glad I did. This unit is so smooth and quiet and does an amazing job on the laundry. I’m amazed at how much faster it washes clothes in cycles that took a 1/3 longer it seemed on my older front load. Drying time is also improved. I like the central controls for both units in the stacker and the Smart ThinQ app and notifications are very helpful with our laundry on a separate floor of our home. Attention to detail seems very good and quality as well. I like that I can upload various custom programs for laundry which allows you to customize around certain laundry types or formats you do that aren’t one of the standard modes. All in all very happy thus far with the unit and actually very weird but I do enjoy doing laundry again where before was a burden now seems to create more excitement and much easier being able to take finished laundry out at eye level and not bending all the time! Great unit LG hopefully this holds up for a long time. I did go with the Best Buy Total Tech service so feel that level of protection gives some peace of mind. Also kudos to the Best Buy team, the salesman Jose that helped me with this purchase and the delivery guys that did a great job moving old out and new in on our second floor laundry room.

Very quiet and efficient system. Delivery and install went great. Needed a system capable of keeping up with big family and this does the job.

Wonderful product! Quiet, quick, relatively intuitive, and stunning looks. My girlfriend and I love our purchase, installation from BB was quick and easy. Not a knock on the product but the delivery window was initially 6 hours which BB said the delivery company would call the day before and narrow it to a 2 hour window, they never did. Not that big of a deal for us as we were able to make it work, but definitely worth noting

As of today, we are really enjoying our new washer and dryer with a sleek design and quietness of the washing and drying fits perfectly inside of our utility area and the install was quick and easy

We purchased this laundry center as we are remodeling our laundry room and bathroom area. With this all in one stacked unit we were able to greatly increase the size of our bathroom space and allowed us to add a shower unit. The LG wash tower is doing a great job with the laundry as well.

A very good looking design of the appliance compared to all of my choices at the time of my shopping for a washer and dryer one whole unit, It is friendly and easy to use following the instructions. I choose the white color for classic and elegance look as my own preference. It looks very sturdy. Bought one previously but it was a side by side unit with the same mechanical and electrical features.

I've been using this for a little over a month now and so far so good. I'm replacing a stackable Samsung unit that had major problems and was only about 3 years old. I absolutely love this new unit. Having all of the controls in the middle is a game changer. On the Samsung unit the dryer controls were at the top and I actually had to use a step ladder for a while at first until I memorized all the settings, then was able to stand on my tip toes to do it. These controls are fully accessible, one row for the dryer and one row for the washer, one on top of the other, right in the middle and easy to get to, and all touch sensors, versus the combo touch and dial of the Samsung. This feature makes the unit a little shorter in overall height than the Samsung too. It's a very quiet unit. It has lights in both the washer and dryer which is so convenient. I'm used to only having a light in the dryer. I haven't tried the app yet but I'm sure that's nice for those who are more tech savvy. The only thing I haven't liked is that it has taken a while to completely rid of the rubber smell. It was extremely bad at first and for anyone reading this, I would recommend running a few washes or perhaps even a cleaning wash before ever putting your first load in. I like the steam feature but there are still some things I have to figure out how to use. Other than that I'm very happy.

Great set very silent and efficient. Need to clean the softner disposal often but overal great deal. Control panel very easy to use and modern style
