    Excellent dryer. Works great. Love how the door opens 2 ways. One way to take clothes out and the other way to make it easy transferring clothes in from the washer. Highly recommend.

    We love our new dryer. Really love the door that opens at the top as our washer is on the right side and this makes it so much easier to load the dryer.

    I did not necessarily want to purchase a new set as ive always heard they go out faster. While i havent had them long enough to actually knowbif thats the case i do actually appreciate that the units themselves detect any issues and dont allow themselves to run unless the issue is resolved. Im sure is greatly extends the life of the units. I also like that my dryer opens two ways, didnt know that when we bought them but it was a nice surprise.

    I do like my dryer, problem the settings are hard to see on the dark panel. Also no pamphlet ( instructions) must be downloaded online. This is hard for seniors.

    Very nice dryer!! It dries clothes very well. If you use the LG app and register the machine it lets you know when the cycle is over. Great buy!!

    I’ve only had it a month. So far the machine has worked flawlessly. We like the color and the ability to put clothes in after the cycle has started. Would give it five stars, but haven’t had it long enough.

    So far works great. Need to play with settings to match clothing for it to be perfectly dry, which is to be expected for those reviews that say it does not dry. Like the option of the door opening two ways.

    LG model # DLE8400BE - 7.3 cu. ft. Rear Control Electric Dryer with Built-In Intelligence. We took delivery of the dryer in December 2024. The lint trap is plastic and open and closes. As such it will eventually break. It should have hinges are another type of open and close design. This does not trap lint any better than the LG model we purchased 12 years ago. The top of the dryer is slopped so you cannot place folded laundry or anything else on the dryer as it will slide off. The drying time overall lasts 10 to 15 minutes too long (even when set on medium for dryness). The light stays on when the dryer door closes. This is not useful and is an energy waist.

      For the drying time, we recommend checking the Energy Saver setting and ensuring the Sensor Dry feature is active. These options help optimize drying based on moisture levels and can reduce cycle length. If the drum light remains on after the door is closed, try resetting the unit by unplugging it for 60 seconds, then plugging it back in — this can help recalibrate the door sensor.
