    Great dryer. Opens 2 ways. Top to down, and left to right. That was a neat discovery. Overall, the quality looks great and you definitely get what youre paying for. Quite happy with my purchase.

    I would definitely NOT recommend this dryer DLE8400WE to anyone. The only drying option that you can adjust the temperature is quick dry, this is not acceptable. I don't agree with the default temperature settings with the different drying options. Sometimes I have to clean the lint filter twice in one drying cycle. The wash is never dry on the first try. The lint filter does clean easily and the capacity is great. Very frustrated with this dryer. The comparable LG washer is OK as you can adjust the temperatures.

      Hi, Frank. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the LG Dryer (DLE8400WE) model. We understand how important flexibility and performance are when it comes to drying your laundry efficiently. This model was designed with preset drying cycles to optimize fabric care and energy usage, which is why temperature adjustments are limited on certain cycles. However, for more control, we suggest using the “Manual Dry” cycles like Timed Dry or Quick Dry, where you can manually select your preferred temperature level—this is especially useful for items needing more specific heat settings.

      If clothes are not drying fully on the first attempt, we recommend reducing load size, ensuring the exhaust duct is clear of buildup, and selecting a higher dryness level (such as “More Dry”) if not already doing so. Also, having to clean the lint filter more than once per cycle can sometimes indicate airflow restriction in the venting, so a quick inspection of the full duct system may improve overall drying performance.     It dries well just when it is in the normal cycle. Any other function leaves the cloths wet. The AI does not leave the clothes dry either.
