I've had for weeks now and the dryer works great. I would definitely buy it again if I had the choice.

    DO NOT BUY

I made this account for the sole purpose of giving this washer a bad review. It QUICKLY (under 30 days) after purchasing grows mildew inside. The interior STINKS which does not give peace of mind that it gets your clothes clean. I have been buying washer cleaner to address and it does help. Another thing I do not like is that it barely soaks your clothes. There is never a point in the cycle where they are fully submerged. Instead, streams of water jet through them. Another issue is that over time my clothes are getting ruined because it does NOT remove pet hair. The washer I had before this was a cheap top loader and I never had this problem with the pet fur. I bought this in May 2016 and its now March 2017. Today I opened the soap tray to find huge black mold spots inside. Enough is enough. I am on my way to the store to buy a new washer.

    Door flip nightmare

I tried to flip the door on my brand new dryer so it would open with the hinge in the left. What a nightmare. One screw was frozen in place and would not lose. With stripping. Great. Now I do I do call the geek squad? Return the dryer? Thanks LG- an afternoon wasted

Machine DOA - Customer Service Non-Existent

After a couple weeks of research and reading all of the reviews, we finally pulled the trigger and were excited to receive our new LG 3170 set. Delivery was right on time as promised. That's where the good stops. After unboxing the units in our driveway, the dryer was wheeled into the garage adjacent to the laundry room. Once there, the crew realized that the washer need to go in first. The crew member who was wheeling the dryer let go of the appliance dolly allowing the dryer to slam to the ground. I didn't think much of it at the time but that should have been red flag number one. After installing the washer, the dryer was next put into place and installed. (After pulling out the machine I would later discover that only half of the venting kit was used and that the extra parts - one right angle bend and two clamps - were not left for us despite the fact that we purchased them as part of the install kit. By not using the second right angle bend, the semirigid vent tube is attached to the wall pipe and and bent 90 degrees making it likely to be crushed behind the machine over time). Now for the initial dryer test - while it would beep and light up, the machine would not start. After unplugging and plugging the unit in 5 or 6 times, rocking the unit and opening and slamming the door shut (the equivalent of rebooting Windows apparently), the machine finally started. We did 3 loads of laundry last night and everything seemed to work fine. This morning we washed a set of sheets and threw it in the dryer, only to receive the "blue screen of death" that the installation crew experienced - lights and beeping but no go. I tried the unplugging and plugging, door slamming and rocking to no avail before finally breaking down to call Best Buy customer service. After working my way through the phone tree and explaining my problem, I was told that they would schedule a new install for me but that they could not schedule anything because the warehouse was closed and that I would need to call back tomorrow. I asked whether they could call me back tomorrow or have the warehouse call me and they said no, that I would have to call back. Needless to say, this is not the customer service I expected from Best Buy. I understand that a new unit probably could not be delivered today or even tomorrow but to pass the buck and tell the customer that they will have to call back "tomorrow" rather than offering to take care of the scheduling when the warehouse opens or simply have the warehouse personnel return the client's phone call is unacceptable.

Not a good choice for me

Very limited on customizable setting options vs my past 2 dryers. With paying a little more than the last brand I purchased, I assumed I would get more. With clothing care, I really like to be able to create very customizeable dry settings. Also, if you are buying due to a rebate, make sure you read the fine print on the terms and conditions to safeguard yourself against minor disqualifications.

Seems to work just fine, however I've noticed that the clothes don't always dry fully when using the sensor dry setting.
