The LIFX Z is almost everything I wanted it to be (bright, customizable, controllable via Alexa and Homekit), it's just missing one thing: reliability. I've tried a few different units and they all have a tendency to drop off the wifi network and remain unresponsive until they're unplugged and replugged. Doesn't matter how close they are to the wireless router/access point, they just won't stay on the network. If they weren't so flaky they'd be a five star product for sure, but as it is they're just kinda "meh."

This is the second time in replacing these lights. First set had 3 sections go out with colors not matching the rest of the strip. They're a lot brighter than the Hue strip.

Beautiful colors, very easy to control and customize with phone or voice commands through google home. Great price beats Phillips Hue by a significant amount and no need to purchase anything else to connect to your home's wifi.

Great product. Some connectivity issues here and there, but really enjoy it when it works correctly (which is still most of the time)!

LIFX is the only brand that I know of that offers multi color lightstrips. They look amazing on the back of a TV, desk or under a bed.

I really like these lights, they are very high quality. The only issue is they are so expensive it made me not want to buy more because of the price.

These lights are amazing. Get to make your own color design. The color is very vivid and bright. The app has cool features. No hub required, it connects straight to your Google home or Amazon Alexa.

Really bright n all, but the app isn’t great & I personally have had issues with setup.. apple home wouldn’t recognize & the times a got it to work it took 15min to connect.. Phillips hue on the other hand, wham bam thank you mam setup and done within 5min. Works flawlessly and overall is a better experience

Great smart lights. I hooked these on back of my tv and they’re amazing. Has its own app that’s easy to use and customize settings and also connects to google nest.

A fun way to light up a room & add some color. SOOOOOO bright, but able to dim. Several options & easy to use. I wish they could be expanded/daisy-chained.

I saw some good reviews about this and decided to try them. Bought a second set already. No hub needed which is great. WiFi only. Colors are bright. Highly recommend getting some of these.

I set these behind my 65inch Samsung TV and makes TV viewing a whole new experience. This is much brighter than any of my other RGB strips I've purchased in the past. And its well worth the price I paid.

This is the second Lifx Z LED strip. The colors are pretty good and bright compared to philips Hue. Lifx support is awesome. This is the best available light strip and worth its price.

The app interface is unlike no other. Works great with Alexa or other voice hubs wirelessly. Create themes, increase/decrease brightness, special effects, etc.... I absolutely love these lights

With the LIFX app, you can control this light strip to show varying colors at different intensities. Very cool and convenient. Have one strip behind the tv for effect and another as hallway lighting.

Bought these for our drink collection. I use these lights in the kitchen and they give the room a bar like feel. I love to let my toddler change the colors from my phone and using Alexa.

Easy to set up, super bright, an overwhelming amount of color choices. Easy to recommend over phillips hue due to having more color options, no hub needed, and it being overall brighter

First time using LIFX, as all my other smart lights are by Phillips Hue. This light strip is longer and therefore a better value than the one from Phillips Hue!

Have linked these into my Apple HomeKit setup of lights which also includes some Hues. Originally liked the idea of not needing the hub for these and I’ve noticed they are a little more difficult to setup and stay connected to the HomeKit system. I will say though the light output and the way the light looks in an aluminum channel on the wall looks really really great! Still happy with the purchase and would recommend, just required some troubleshooting.
