Q: Does this product come with 90 degree fittings to go around tight corners?
A: It didn’t come with corner but you can bend it. Just be careful not to bend where the lights are.
Q: What is the maximum number of extensions that can be added to this/the maximum supported length?
A: The starter kits come with a single controller and the controller can have up to 10 strips on it. If you get the one from BestBuy that has 3 strips then you can add 7 more. Each strip can output 700 lumens but the total lumens for all connected strips maxes out at 2800 lumens so every strip after 4 diminishes the individual brightness of each strip but the total brightness will still be 2800 lumens. If you want to keep them at the maximum brightness of 700 lumens per strip then you need to buy additional controllers and put no more than 4 strips on a controller. They are very bright though and so unless you need that maximum brightness you might try just adding strips up to 10 and only purchase additional controllers if you feel you need them to be brighter. I just ended up buying 4 starter kits with 1 controller and 3 strips in each kit so I have 4 controllers and 12 strips. That way I have a lot of flexibility and I can always add additional strips if needed.
A: Each BestBuy LIFx Z LED Strip comes with three sections 3.3 feet long. If you need the 3.3’ sections in totally different areas then you’ll need to buy a controller (the brains and Wi-Fi connection so you can control the lights - it comes with an A/C power adapter) from LIFx.com for each section. However, other thing you can do, like under cabinet lighting, is to uses a four wire extension cable between the 3.3’ sections. You can find them at lifx.com and with careful shopping Amazon. You can use a total of 10 sections (33 feet) per controller/power supply.
A: Please be accurate if you are going to post answers to potential buyers. There is a big difference between meters and feet. This kit most certainly does NOT provide 9.9 meters of lighting, as several posters suggest.
A: yes t more, 10 strips max continuous. buy the 9.8' pack only best bang for your buck. keep spare power supply.
A: 8 1/2 feet from the outlet to the first strip. There is a box in the path as well which is INCLUDED in this measurement.
Q: Can these be used outdoors?
A: I installed them in my greenhouse and the strips stopped working correctly after a month. I would not recommend. Not sure if this was just a defective batch, but they worked normally at first. Maybe weatherize the connections between strips and protect the plug and controller form the elements and humidity. Also the sticky backing starts melting away in heat.
A: I did that for my Z strip and it turns on instantly. It does turn on to the last programmed light color/brightness. Unless you changed the color/setting through the LiFX app. It doesn't run through the whole strip before turning on like the Beams.
