    I purchased 3 sets and one expansion strip from Best Buy on Nov. 23rd 2018. After about 6 months various portions of the strip on all 3 sets either don't light up or do not change the full range of colors or stay only green or red. I cannot reset the light strips and make this problem go away, I have tried to reset the LIFX Z controller. In fact, if you press real hard on a section of LED's that are not working correctly, then it will work if you hold it. So, I know its a defect. If you ever plan on remodeling and need to remove the strip from what ever they were stuck to, these will no longer stick again. I've had to use double sided sticky tape to re-apply them to a new surface after renovations to our home. The Alexa integration is horrible. Sometimes Alexa will "turn them off" when you ask or on but not always. The controllers have to be placed in a direct path with your Wifi router with hardly any obstructions. That is not ideal when you mount these things under a desk, behind a TV or behind some furniture for ambient lighting, which is what these are really designed for. I really wanted to try and like this product. But after several months and almost a year I can't say the quality is there. I can buy some way less expensive versions on Amazon that will do the same thing. In fact, I really think it's better just to buy the cheaper non-wifi versions and just simply connect them to a Wemo and use the Alexa integration to turn them on or off.

    Too long for the area intended for. App is not well organized compared to the Phillips Hue app. The Lightstrip was good product, just wasn't for me.
