Don't buy this product, no support from manufacturer, worked only one time then stopped.

Product quit working after 6 months. Will never get things like this again

I purchased these LED's after having issues with my Hue light strip. The overall build quality of these lights are pretty great. The clear silica that surrounds the strip itself can be extremely soft and can tear if you let your cord hang and you are rough with it (More on that later). LIFX does not use a hub compared to the Hue lights where you are forced to purchase a bridge. All you need is wifi and a the app. The LED's on LIFX are so much brighter, and have more LED's than the Hue strip. The app is also easier to use than the Hue app. For the adhesive that is used, you have to clean your surface pretty well with an alcohol pad to get them to stick well. Customer service was insanely fast and great. I let my cord hang and it tore near the LED controller from just being a little too rough. Customer supports first response to my ticket and explanation was, that they were shipping me a new strip to replace it no questions asked. I'm very satisfied with the experience and product. Can't wait to buy more.

I put this up one day and a week later the lights were faulty.

I purchased the LIFX Z over a year ago, and they are still doing great. I did not have any issues connecting them to Alexa (I use a Samsung SmartThings hub with IFTTT). I can say my only complaint is I have to purchase a new module (still a reasonable price) to work with Siri because they cannot update the module. But, it isn’t an issue because I’ve relied on Alexa because Siri was late to the game.

I love my light strip never had heard of them before i got this one. It was great when i set it up. I moved, after a few months, no problem. Set right up. Say in storage for a year+. Now, i can't get all 3 steps to work. I forgot i got warranty until about 6 months after it expired due to me moving around. Now-i have to begin again! Super bummed.

I ran the strip along the side and top of my TV to let it "pop" and it looks amazing! My wife and I have it dimmed to about 25% when we watch a movie to create ambiance in the room and when we have people over we have it illuminate and change colors with the theme of the party or sports team we're watching. Love it!

I have several Hue light strips in my house, but I wanted to try these to see if they are any better. Yep, they are. They are much brighter than the Hue version and have lots more functionality with the colors.

I love these lights and they were easily installed onto my wall!

I bought the LIFX Z light strips. The glue did not stick and took the paint off my walls. The lights took two hours to connect to wi-fi. This lasted about 5 minutes and they lost the connection. I could not get the wi-fi connection back again no matter how many times I reset them. Within less than 5 hours of buying them, I am returning them. I bought an IHome power plug at the same time and had that working within 5 minutes and it is still working great. Don't buy LIFX!

The lights are bright and look amazing but I spent $80 only to find out that only one strip worked. The adhesive does not stick for long. Waste of money and should have went for cheaper options. I figured I could not return being that I had already removed the adhesive

Purchased and returned on same day. Two on the 3 strips were faulty. One strip, 5 of the LED diodes would not change color from blue. One strip would not leave factory settings mode. In order to disable factory mode, one most turn on and off the product many times, along with unplugging the power, in a specific order to deactivate. Not a well thought out product. The 3M adhesive, does a good job sticking, though will cause damage upon removal, and you will not be able to restock the lights. The lifx costumer service is horrendous. There is no phone number, rather only a support email, get ready to play email tag, and be told that the only option is to fill out a warranty item replacement form and wait to see if you can get a replacement. The return at Bestbuy was abreeze, will continue shopping at Bestbuy, never buy a lifx product again.

For some reason I can not connect. I see the name in the Wi-Fi but then it says it's unavailable and tells me to reset 5xs wait for the green, red and blue color then try reconnecting nothing. That was on my cell phone. So I tried my tablet and it connected I was able to turn on and off but couldn't change the color then I was disconnected and was not able to control. Not sure what the hell is going on. I tried to find a number to call but I only see emails and it's a bot telling me to go online and follow the steps which I already do. Smh I'm about to just give up and get something easier to connect.

It worked for just an year and became white LED. I contacted customer which is email based and they are not helpful

DO NOT BUY! Worked great for 1 year. Unfortunately, I didn't know but, there customer service is complete garbage. All my light went out at once. Talking about alot of money. Only option for help is online portals with a bunch of confusion thats puts you back to square one. Online reps only repeat what you read online. After 5 restart attempts and thr last attempt working 16 hours. They (all) went back offline. I ripped them all out and immediately threw away form time wasted and frustration. I'll save ya the time and headache of just going with a different brand. FYI,...there's a reason Home Depot quit selling LIFX products. Ill admit,...when it worked it was great. But, I would go with Phillips due to an actual customer service #.

After reviewing LED smart strips I was interested in this brand, and I was happy it didnt require purchasing a seperate controller like hue does, and the worker at best buy recommended it. The first one, broken controller right out of the box, doing the rotating lights. I figured I had a faulty one and exchanged it based on what the lyfx troubleshooting said was wrong. I got the second one set up and it looked great, synced with my google home too! Then 5 days have passed and this controller has broken as well and is in constant rotating lights and unresponsive....looked amazing the 5 days it worked, but 5 days isnt worth $85, dont waste your time with this product, it has so many issues when you read the company's troubleshooting page. Go with a more trusted brand than this, because it is not worth your time or money.

I purchased the LIFX Z LED Starter Kit on 5/9/19 for $89.99. I plugged it in at home and it worked great, so I ordered from LIFX a 3.3' extension and the connector for that extension. Then less than 4 months later - in the middle of the night - one of the strips went bad which caused the entire string to turn on and begin flashing colors. This woke us up at about 3:30 am. I unplugged and then later that day went on LIFX to get a replacement. This process was time consuming and even after being awarded a warranty replacement - it never came. I had to reach out to them a 2nd time and finally they sent one. When I plugged it into the string - about 20 minutes later - the string began to flash color. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! You have been warned.

I purchased 4 kits and they all had problems had to return two of them because the female adapters where completely messed up and half of the lights wouldn't work. Then while waiting for the new ones in the mail the ones we did get working and had on the wall fell and continued to fall due to the poor quality adhesive used for the lights. Now that the new box is here all the lights work but they are already falling off the wall. I spent hundreds of dollars on these and can 100% say they are NOT worth the money. Yes they look really cool but not worth it if I come home to them on the floor every day.

I bought two of these kits and multiple extensions. They used to work well with the app. Now after a terrible revision to the app, it is highly not intuitive and frequently glitches.
