These things are pretty sick. You don't need a hub like Phillip's. They're bright. Doing 4 stars because there are no wire extensions, soldering doesn't work either. I only got a 3ft manufactured third party extension to work. Nothing longer.

Glad I bought these when on sale as they are out of stock. Been waiting a long time for another set (I have 6 sets already). Color on these are outstanding. Just have to be very careful when plugging them in (make sure power adapter is unplugged first) and any bending.

Had a pretty difficult time with setup actually and I'm well versed in most things tech but it definitely felt like a fluke. Once set up the strip is absolutely beautiful. Still playing around with settings and IFTTT but I couldn't be happier with it. Highly recommend.

Outstanding illumination and vibrant colors added with a phone app that is great makes this product awesome. However, the tape used to hold the product ONLY works well on flat smoky surfaces. Any other requires a different form of adhesive or binding. Not good.

Really cool RGP light strip. I wanted something where each ligh could change and this is it. The android app seems a little wonky at times but given a few tries II can usually get it to do what I want

First off, I do like these lights. They are just overpriced. First they aren't waterproof. You can get waterproof strips for much cheaper. Second, these occasionally quit connecting and I have to reset the lights and set them up. I'd say every 3-4 months I have to reconnect them which is a pain. At this price point it should be easier to make a macro or to work with a physical button. I tried setting up with a Smart Things button but the results varied and it is not a simple task to get them to work at all together. For What I spent on these strips I expect a lot more.

These lights are fantastic for creating different moods in your bedroom, kitchen, living room, basement and all over your house. Tremendously easy to install and adds the ambience that you specifically want to create!

The lights work great... The connection to the lifx app is delayed about 10 secs, VS lights(and its about 2 ft from the router).. A bigger problem is whether lifx products are built to even approach the stated life.. Which is far outside the warrenty.. My experience is lifx promotes well and their products are fun but don't expect the products to last for years..I have 17 lights and 1 3-section strip.. And will not buy more as lifx has been bought a couple of years ago by an Australian company that is trying to turn a profit that hadn't happened to any extent prior..

Before I decided to invest in smart bulbs, I had to decide between brands: Philips Hue or LIFX. I like how Philips has a great selection of individual products (much more extensive than LIFX), but I don't like how the Hue system requires a hub to work--it means you're $50 to $60 in the hole before even buying a single light. The single feature of the LIFX Lightstrip which made me go with LIFX over Phillips is the fact that you can change the colors along the strip. With Philips, by contrast, you're limited to only one color for the entire length of the strip, even if you had extension strips. I have an 18 foot entertainment cabinet, and LIFX allows me to have different colors along the entire span (as opposed to one color with the Philps Hue). Go on YouTube to see examples of the LIFX Lightstrip in action. You'll see why I chose it over Philips. The one downside with the LIFX is that I have occasional connection issues. I'm suspect the Philips is much better given that it has a hub.

I am a game streamer and as such i have decorated my gaming room to give it a visual appealing look and thanks to these lights I can change the scenery with ease. They are also great for around the house decorations. Cant go wrong here as it has everything you need.

I love these light strips. They are more expensive than other brands but offer much more flexibility in terms of colors and designs. They can really change a space and offer a fabulous ambience to any area. I will continue to purchase lifx products.

The reset feature is a bit trying but overall it works well once set up. The sticky adhesive doesn't last more than a year though. You'll need to invest in other adhesive for the long haul.

Great strip of light. I place it in the back of my TV and it look so awesome.

Bought this on a whim as it was on sale. We placed it on the back of a long wall table in our dinning room. It looks great lit up and we stick to only a few colors as some just do not go with our décor. The sticky backing is not the best and we used push pins to keep it attached to the table (the pins do not puncture the fixture). Had a few issues getting it to work with Alexa and just re-authoed the app with Alexa. Works now all the time. Note that it is cloud based (does not require a hub) so if your internet is down, no lights. The Lifx app is a bit confusing as it wants you to create a group for the light before continuing. I just played with it until I got the hang of it.

I love these lights! They are so rich and colorful. The amazing app let's you really customize your lights. I will say they are either very fragile or have a high failure rate. I have had to come back more than 6x times to return things because of either a strip goes out and once the wifi device broke. Best buy did return them no questions asked and then i bought myself some added insurance. I don't have a worry about them breaking anymore. I don't know if it was user error or they are as fragile as I think. Regardless the quality of color is amazing once up and running there is no substitute. I would buy this again even after having the return headache, no questions asked. Side note they are a little on expensive side as well.

This item exceeded my expectations. Purchased for my son. They were easy to setup. Came with everything he needed and setup was simple. Light show was so vibrant, and the fact that the lights could work in zones was the icing on the cake. Found out he can build upon this, I'll be getting more.

Just an excellent product, easily pushes out the brightest whites and colors I've ever seen in a consumer device. Be warned, you need the app to properly turn on and off the lights. Without you'll have to plug it somewhere you can switch it on and off.

I love the lights they work great.. had a little trouble setting them up with my wifi but once I figured it out I was in love.. I put them under the overhang of my bed so now my bed glows so nice.. definitely would recommend.

Very good! I personally like philips hue integration better and the fact that it doesn’t drop from my google account when using the google home... it’s way brighter than philips hue and you can do multi colors. Which the hue strip can not do. Awesome app too!

Been using Philips Hue lights and these are amazing because they are as bright and maybe even a little brighter plus you dont need a bridge to use these lights! The different zones you can change gives you more options to customize how you want the lights to look!
