Better than using the router in the closet and running a line through the house. Plug router into ethernet feeder in living room and used the switch and now have 3 devices plugged in with a direct internet line.

I spoke with a Best Buy employee, he highly recommended the Linksys 5 port switching box. I'm very pleased with its performance.
