Through the wireless (Google onHub) my data transfer is about 20 MB/s. When wired though the ethernet switch it is 100 MB/s. When moving large amounts of data around, it really speeds things up.

One for the Home Entertainment system which feeds the TV, Satellite receiver, Blu-Ray Player and Apple TV. One for my son's room where it handles his computer and Game Systems. Now a third one for my work studio which my laptop, desktop computer and flatscreen TV. If your house is hard wired for Ethernet then this is just the thing to expand that one line coming into your room into many.

This item was the perfect item to moint under my tv stand discretely and it gave me 4 extra ports. One port is used for power and internet connectivity for the item to work. So you get 4 ports not 5

Not much to say about a gigabit switch except it works well. Networking is easy with quality components. I'll pay a little more to get it today and from a brand that builds things to last.

It does its jobs very well and no internet issues even through heavy bandwidth use.

This small, lightweight switch solves the problem. The gigabit ports are great when working on backbone networks and the MIDI auto negotiation helps on the SCADA side
