    Buy the new technology MESH via EERO BRAND, and the switch becomes super important. YOU CAN NOT ADD PERIFERALS THAT DIDNT COME WITH WIFI. Go all wifi, it's worth it.

    needed a cheap throwaway switch. This one fits the bill 100%. works and has crossover detect. will use outdoors until it dies and it won't hurt the pocketbook.
