Works as advertised
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great. Needed more Ethernet ports as my eero mesh router has a very limited number of ports and I couldn’t connect me NAS to it. This solved my problem.

It's good product but won't pickup receipt printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have small operation with wired computers this is perfect product for you. I only gave 3 stars because it won't pick up/recognize receipt printers which is big part of our business. Good product otherwise.

Posted .Hi Terry,
We value the time you spent in sharing your experience with us. We suggest that you check if the LEDS are properly lit on the switch. You can also temporarily bypass the switch and test if the printers are recognized directly connected to the modem/router.

Posted .Hi, StevenB,
If the device you connect to the Ethernet port can go online, then the switch should be working as it’s expected to. Feel free to tap us at LinksysCares@linksys.com if you need more help. Just include a link to this post as our reference when you reach out.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I imagine that this tech worked like a router which is what I really needed. To switch between different devices I need to always unplug my modem/ethernet for 30 seconds or more to allow it to detect the other device.

Doesn't do much.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was told it would help speed up a connection on a computer in the office with a wireless and wired connection. Have to log in to a remote connection. No increase at all.

Posted .Hi Cskolsky,
The Linksys SE3005 is an unmanaged switch which can transfer data across a local network at up to Gigabit speeds. We suggest that you check if your computer has the same speed when connected straight to the modem or router.

Wrong Design Version
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased online and pick up at store. It did not match photo showing on web versus store even though model number are same. I liked the design on web than what I got from store due to blink lights on front and ethernet port on back rather than both light and ethernet port on same side. I am consider to return this back store for refund and get better design.

Not getting gigabyte speeds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this hub to use with my gigabyte internet from AT&T fiber1Gb. The switch provides speed in the 42-50mb range. To be fair this may be due to the connection from the AT&T router or the cat5e cable for the connection that is 50FT. But that cat5e cable does deliver gigabyte speed in the 967mb range when connected to one device so I think this switch is unable to share gigabyte speed over the ports. As a switch it works, just not at gigabyte speeds.

Posted .Hi, Techguy13576,
Since this switch is not configurable, we recommend that you try to connect it to the main router with a shorter cable and check the speed. There is a possibility that your AT&T router cannot support the full length of your ethernet cable. At least you can be sure that this is not a hardware issue.

Ok slow speed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It it works but you need a faster modem to connect to it because the speed is not fair but it is acceptable so I could recommend it.

Posted .Hi, Gman62,
Yes, the SE3005 Switch is just a plug-and-play device and the internet speed would depend on your existing modem/router. As a product overview, this Switch has Gigabit ports which are capable of providing 10 times faster connection than ordinary 10/100 Ethernet connections. Should you have queries or clarifications, feel free to contact us directly at [email protected], anytime.

Posted .Hi Ripext,
We appreciate your product insights. However, the Linksys SE3005 is just a smart switch that will give you 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports for your wired devices. It doesn't have a Wi-Fi capability like most smart switches. Please get in touch with us at [email protected] or though our Facebook page if you have further inquiries.
