The charger was still operational but the switch itself no longer worked and the system LED would no longer turn on. And thanks to Best Buy changing their return policy, even as a Best Buy credit card holder I couldn’t return it because I was only given 2 weeks to be able to return/exchange.

But the one I received doesn't match the advertised picture. I wanted all power and ethernet ports in the back...just like the picture. The one got has power in the back and ethernet in the front.

The Linksys SE3005 is an unmanaged 5-port switch that allows you to add up to five devices to your home or office network with plug-and-play installation. Also, the maximum throughput that the Linksys SE3005 can accommodate is 1 Gbps. You may try using another Ethernet cable and try to power cycle your devices to isolate the concern.
