Cut speed in 2/3
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device drastically reduced my speeds just by going from router to switch

Posted .Hi, Gamegenie,
The SE3005 switch supports up to 1000 Mbps speed and connecting a device to it should not reduce the speed that you get from the router. Please get in touch with us at [email protected] with your contact details and a link to this post so we can have our Escalation Engineers look into this.

Posted .Hi,
The Linksys SE3005 is an unmanaged 5-port switch that allows you to add up to five devices to your home or office network with plug-and-play installation. The gigabit ports provide 10 times faster connection than ordinary 10 / 100 Ethernet connections. However, we would like to know more about the issue you’re having with it so we can have it checked with our Product Experts by sending us an email about what happened at [email protected] with your contact info and the link of this review, for our reference.

Posted .Hi, Mildocarm,
The Linksys SE3005 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch should work longer than described but, allow us to have our Product Experts investigate the switch further.

Works as intended
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great, simple plug and play. Needed to split internet off a 100' ethernet cable, this was a great price from a well known company. Doesn't feel cheap. Would definitely buy again and recommend.

It Does Its Job Well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to easily add Desktop and laptop computers, and printers to my home network. I just simply plug-in a ethernet cable to instantly connect these devices. There were no problems at all, even with all of the devices connected at the same time. I have a 110/12 connection coming in through a Motorola Surfboard SB6141. I have had no problem getting that speed on any of the ports. This unit is well constructed and has work flawlessly so far. It does its job well. I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for your honest feedback

Fantastic Speed, Easy Setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this Linksys 5 port switch to replace another brand I bought two years ago. The older switch was a 100MB switch so I knew the Linksys gigabit switch would be faster but the speed difference is remarkable. This is a great switch. The setup couldn't be easier. All I had to do was take the network cables from the old switch and plug them into the Linksys switch and the setup was complete. Great product. Linksys provided this to me for my evaluation.

Works as advertised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently moved my HTPC and PS4 to another part of the house. Not paying attention, I plugged everything into 10/100 switch and later freaked out when I ran a speed test and was seeing 23 down and 8 up. Run to my local BB, grab this little guy and now seeing 155 down and 11 up. Well worth the price in this regard.

Great switch - easy setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received a free Linksys SE3005 Ethernet Switch from Linksys for my honest evaluation. I happened to be out of Ethernet ports on my Linksys router and this gave me an opportunity to move some of the devices to the Ethernet switch. I had no issues with setting it up and no issues with its operation. Set up was just the power cord. Moved some of the devices from the router to the switch and add a cable (I had to provide) from one of the now open ports on the router to the switch ......done. It was that easy. I now have several open Ethernet ports for future expansion.

1-2-3 and you are up and running
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received the Linksys SE3005 Switch via the Linksys Friends + Family Program. What can you really say about a network switch that requires only 3 steps to be up an running. If it works as advertised not a whole lot! The Linksys SE3005 worked as advertised. Plug in the power adapter, connect to the upstream ethernet source, and connect your downstream ethernet devices and you are up and running! Why would one need a switch? In my case, my home isn't wired for ethernet so we have opted for wireless connections or powerline connections. I used powerline adapters to connect my devices that need a fast and reliable connection to the internet, TVs, game consoles, desktop PCs, and set top boxes (ie Fire TV). My powerline adapters have only a single ethernet port so being able to connect the Linksys SE3005 switch to the powerline adapter is a big big help when you need to connect more than one device at a location. Besides the convenience of expanding the number of ethernet ports, the switch is smaller than the one it took the place of and it feels like a quality device being made of metal rather than plastic.

Simple setup and just works
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted to connect my AV Receiver, AppleTV and MacMini in the bedroom to the Xfinity router in the Living Room. Ran just one ethernet cable from the router to the Linksys ethernet switch. Then 3 shorter ethernet cables from the switch to each device. Plugged in, and it all just worked. Now each device performs twice as fast as over WiFi. Highly recommend.
