Great little port switch

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use hard wired connections to my internet connected equipment, whenever possible, to save wireless bandwidth for those devices that can't be hard wired and this Linksys 5-port switch is great to help me add those additional lines when I add more devices like cable boxes, game consoles, Apple TV boxes, etc.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my home to expand ports for my router from the Cable company, it was easy to install, and one thing that was not clear, is that you can put the internet cable into any port in the router, the old ones had designated input for cable and output, this one automatically detects it, makes it e little easier, but it wasn't clear in the instructions.

This is a Gb switch which I use/bought primarily to extend my home network into the garage for a Dish wireless Joey. I have an already existing Airport plugged into it as well as the WAP for the Joey. Everything works flawlessly. I was initially surprised by how small it is. It is in a metal case which I have mounted on a backboard in the garage.
