    Needed more ports at my cable modem. Bought this device, plugged in the Ethernet cables, plugged this into the modem , applied power and was fully functional. What could be easier?

    It's a basic network switch. Seems to do the job just fine and the status lights are a nice touch. Works well while using my powerline kit, having the second unit hooked up to the switch. Saves me from having to drill holes to run 3 Ethernet cables through the wall or just have it be a trip hazard for myself at night going across the floor. Once my work equipment comes in (wired connection required, so I can't use Wi-Fi) I'll see how well it handles the load using 3/4 ports.
