I have a 3 story house with main router set up on first floor and had trouble getting signal to my 3rd floor bedroom. I now do get signal but it's still pretty slow...it may have to do with positioning/setup so I will reserve full judgement.

We looked a several options and the Best-Buy rep recommended we try this extender. Works great!

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking forward to using this device due to the ethernet ports and the dual-band Wi-Fi range, however, I was unable to set it up. The light was supposed to stop blinking in less than 2 min but instead turned orange and never stopped blinking. I tried countless times to reset and reposition the device to get it to work but was unsuccessful. Maybe I was just unlucky and the device I got was just defective. I would have really preferred it would have worked.

Our Linksys RE6500 is designed to extend the range of your wireless router up to 10,000 square feet, in a perferct network environment. Thus, physical obstructions and wireless interference may cause connection concern. For isolation, try to power cycle the extender and make sure to place it in between the area you wish to extend the range of your wireless router and the wireless router.
