The Linksys RE6500 helps you eliminate dead zones with additional wireless coverage of up to 10,000 square feet in a perfect environment. Thus, we must always consider physical obstructions and wireless interference from the other devices that may cause connection issues. In case you're experiencing a dropping connection behind the Linksys RE6500, then please try power cycling the unit and try to relocate it in between your router and the area you wish to extend your wireless network. Can tell a small difference

I brought in a tech company to evaluate things and they are pleased with the device, saying that they will wire it directly to my modem to make it far more effective. I have high hopes.

Unable to get this device configured

Thanks for writing a review. The Extender's name usually ends with 'Ext' to avoid confusion. It will also obtain a different IP address once it is connected to a DHCP server such as a router. Doesn't extend as far as I would like

Located in the middle of a 2300 square foot house and have a sketchy wifi signal in my bedroom. Hoping it extends to my patio in the back of my house, this is yet to be tested.

Didn't work for me

The setup was a breeze. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. Its worse than trying to be on my regular wifi. During a call with a client, it couldn't even handle Zoom and I lost my connection twice. My apartment isn't THAT big, but I thought a better connection would be helpful since the signal is not as great in my newly converted home office. But at least I wasn't being dropped from calls before! This one is getting returned.

Great for medium to large homes

The Linksys RE6500 range extender should work with any wireless router including your ISP's router. We could have tried to use a different device when setting up the extender and made sure that your Wi-Fi is broadcasting.
