The Linksys RE6500 range extender can extend the WiFi coverage up to 10,000 sq. ft. You can try to relocate the extender close to the router as it might be too far to extend the WiFi. If you upgrade the firmware of your RE6500 to the latest version, it will have the Spot Finder feature. You could use that to locate where it will have atleast 50% of your router's Wi-Fi signal.
