Assigning different SSIDs to the extended network is an advantage to know which network your devices are connected. Try relocating it if it disconnects from the network but if this is about the speed, test how much you are getting when wirelessly connected to the router and another test to check the speed with the range extender. Not so easy to set up ...

I have FIOS and works sometimes with my router and sometimes not. Have to reboot every couple of weeks .. have new update to router and still have problems. When working ... works great

Im really frustrated with this device.

The spot where the unit is placed plays a great factor when it comes to its signal performance. Try moving it on a different spot to see if the same thing happens. Make sure as well to run the latest firmware for further isolation.
